      Hey there!

I'm quite new in this community and after some reading on the forum i'm asking myself some questions.

I read that you should never bot on an account that you dont want to get banned and this is obviously normal :p
So i have imagined a strategy to have free level 100 toons..

I made a new account to level up caracters with Kicks.

      My questions are:

      • Can i get my main account banned because of the same IP ?
Of course i don't play at the same time of the bot but i'm playing on the same CPU after i'm done with quest botting.
      • If i transfer my brand new level 100 caracters from my suicide account to my main account, do i have a risk of getting my main account banned?
      • If i put my main account as a referee to my suicide account ( for the bonus of the sponsorship you know ) is it a risk of getting my main account banned?

      Bonus questions:
      • Is DirectX9 is an obligation? or DirectX11 is good to?
      • Is "simple" windowed mode is an obligation? or Windowed "Fullscreen" is good to?

I hope to have answer soon :p

      Merry christmas guys :p

Can i get my main account banned because of the same IP ?-------------yeah, there is a small chance. that chance grows every time your two accounts interact
Of course i don't play at the same time of the bot but i'm playing on the same CPU after i'm done with quest botting.-------------doubt it makes much difference, see #1
If i transfer my brand new level 100 caracters from my suicide account to my main account, do i have a risk of getting my main account banned?---------see #1
If i put my main account as a referee to my suicide account ( for the bonus of the sponsorship you know ) is it a risk of getting my main account banned?----see #1

      Bonus questions:
Is DirectX9 is an obligation? or DirectX11 is good to?------depends on your individual setup, drivers, graphics card. but as a rule, DirectX9 works and is recommended
Is "simple" windowed mode is an obligation? or Windowed "Fullscreen" is good to?----either is ok, but most botters run simple Windowed Mode. so we can multitask.

I was like you when I first started. I created a new account and never mixed it with my main. After a while I mixed them more and more because my botted account had all of the resources and gear that I really wanted on my main. Eventually, I started botting on my main account. It just doesn't matter to me anymore. I've botted with HB for over 4 years, but I watch my characters almost 100% of the time when I bot (I actually enjoy watching the bot). I will sometimes run to the store down the street and leave the bot running, but that is not a frequent occurrence. There are a few things that the bot cannot do even in the strongest quest profiles. It will fail on certain quests, but I have watched it so many times that I know where it is safe to leave it AFK for a few minutes. Welcome to the community! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I try to do things well with the bot ^^

if you will farm dungeons then that is like asking for a ban. I have "suicide accs" that i run til they get banned.
Sometimes they ban all the accounts on my bnet acc and sometimes they dont. Last tmie they banned all my farmers and not my questing characters. I watched my bots the day beefore the downtime (wednesday) and there were a lot of Horde guys farming the bots farming those dungeons and ofc they reported us. If you babysit your bot now and then while questing, doing BGs or Farming, its easier to control your bot if someone is watching. Bg is hard to go unoticed tho since the bot act really bottish in the bgs. ( sorry for my bad english )

Yeah i read that botting in dungeons is very risky.

I want to highlight the fact that i don't want to bot to make amount of gold.. i just want to bot to have level 100 caracters for "free" so i monitor the bot while it is questing to control it if a other player is watching..

I think i will be a quite little botter so it will cut down the risk i have to get banned compared to an other botter

have you leveled by hand previously? If not your gonna end up with "free" 100's that no one wants to play with cause your awful :p lol. See blizzard's "free" 90's w/ WoD. /shudder

if he is leveling with hb, then surely he will use a botbase/routine when he gets 100. so L2P really doesnt apply here

      Of course i have :p
But you are right a totally unplayed 100 is not the same as a leveled by hand because of the lack of mastery ^^

LOL then when people ask for advices for such a nice top dmg it will go like "I just push buttons randomly and pray they make a nice combo", aside from that and making excuses not to raid when HB is down you will most likely be one of the top's if you the right routine.

I wouldn't worry about it honestly. Questing is about the safest thing you can do as long as you keep the time in line with what a human can do (no 24/7 sessions...)

I have Leveled 50 toons via questing and Dungeon Buddy, all on the same machine, IP, battle.net, and all RAFed.

Ofc blizzard can do as they please, but do they really ban accounts that are played on the same IP by the same person etc. even tho the main account have not done anything against the rules?

if you read the Terms, Blizz owns your account. They can ban for any reason, or no reason. You agree to it every time you download a new install or content patch.

This sounds harsh and blunt, but honestly, its a risk and you need to be aware it can happen.

Likely? a small chance is still a chance.

Be aware, be prepared, happy botting.

thats not true at all, when they bann you for gold selling there is a high chance to bann the whole ip (including main account, test account you've never logged in and stuff like that) so you dont need interaction between the accounts to risk a bann.

but it seems like you only want to 'suicide' leveling ? so 1-100 without break or sth like that? the chance of getting banned while doing something like that is really low in general

It is totally fine to have 24 hour play time on occasion. as long as its not on the same toon. They know and allow families to share accounts and in fact have had a GM tell me you can share your account with 1 minor in your family and its not even against ToC. So if you are Not online 24 hours a day everyday you are probably will never get seen. Most all botters are banned by getting reported so its really all about the Equation ( Location + Bot type used X Up time = % Chance to get banned.) Even with Farming mats you can get away with it longer depending on how well you stand out. If you are barely high enough lvl to farm there you stand out, same with being max lvl running through Northrend for old school mats. Stick to questing to lvl with the occasional instance and You will always be fine. Its almost a none existent chance to get banned questing compared to bg bot or gatherbuddy.

I have at the moment 9 accounts with one being my real "main" account and ill use Questing bot and Raidbot on it cause of their relative safety.
But i understand when i first started botting i was so paranoid i didn't even join the forum under fear it might toss a red Flag on me somehow. Only a fool would believe blizzard doesn't have an account on here. But its just mostly unfounded fear. Yeah you can get banned botting. But generally Stupid botters go first lol so be smart be safe.
