Hi there. Blackrock Caverns - for farming. Inside instance everything is great, the bot is running smooth etc. But after repair he is not moving back inside instance, only flying outside the mountain. Same if you start the profile anywhere else (it works good only if you manually go inside and start it). Attached log - see the end of it when bot goes repair and then load default profile. Can anyone who have achieve 15-85 with a groupe of 5 players (5 accounts), composed of 1 tank, 1 heal and 3 dps.... post their suggestions on which donjon, settings are working the best to get 85 FAST when RAF ? I am level 59 in over 24hours.. with logs and lots of bugs...... using singular, tuanka, and other CR. Therefore I believe it's not a CR issue.
I am not sure if this are connected, but I guess so. This morning I found the following problem with my two fresh teams who have a Monk as tank. I have never reported such an error with other classes as tank. Wish I knew of this problem before going with monks for my new team So I think it is connecting with monks and Singular? I am just guessing fyi. When using dungeonbuddy on 100 norm random dungeons there is a prompt upon entering saying instance not scripted and to hit ok to leave or cancel to play manually. Hi HighVoltz, just a recommendation for dungeons instead of waiting for players, as most of them run ahead of you and can cause issues. is there noway to move until mobs are within specific range maybe 50 yards. then once everyone or YOU catch up it proceeds? This would fix the issues with Auchindown where it waits after allot of the kills but essentially everyone has moved on already. Vigilant Kaathar - this fight the movement for the aoe on ground needs revised spins in a circle very bottish. maybe just make it move 5-10 yards in either direction.
I use for dungen 100 normal, and Dungeon leave because say that no have profile, but for example UBRS have profile, and if i pulse cancel to dont leave, Dungeon use profile...whtat dont use if i dont puse cancel?
Quest question, isn't heroic mode the same as normal mode with increased HP/Damage? Even if they have a few differences, I was wondering if there is anyway to activate the normal dungeon profiles in Heroic mode?
Hi, Powered, No, its not quite that simple. The mechanics of boss encounters change between 'normal' and 'heroic'. Some non-specific examples: In a normal dungeon, you might just need to 'get near' an object for X seconds to advance the encounter, whereas in the heroic version you need to click on the object. In a normal dungeon, it may be safe to skip over a particular 'trash mob' group. But in heroic, they will get pulled if you engage the boss, and have failed to clear them. In normal, you might have to perform an action three times, and in heroic you must perform it five times. In heroic, the bosses may have additional attacks not present in normal. For instance, a healer may need to stop healing party members during a certain phase of an encounter. Or, DPS must cease, etc. Since these mechanic details are not available to Honorbuddy, they must be scripted correctly. There are many of these subtle differences between normal and heroic encounters for most dungeons. cheers, chinajade
It would put the burden on tank/healers and the success rate would be lower. I'd argue its a risk/reward scenario worth taking tho as temporary solution. As it is now, DB is pretty useless without heroic dungeons. You can do LFR after dinging without doing normal dungeons and having DB limited to normal gear means you'll be forced to play manually anyhow...which means its counterproductive to even run DB to begin with I understand there's a finite amount of dev resources but DB is always last to receive updates... Dont just archive this without a response: whats the eta for heroic dungeon/looking for raid support ? Being one of the most used botbases, why doesn't DB get more dev time, its a one time effort to get them done.. ? Is there anything that can speed up the process ?
Yes Clone HighVoltz!!!! but i have to agree dungeonbuddy is so good. but heroics need a bit of love. the normal scripts don't really need allot of updates little bits change in heroics. But before HC are implemented we need to get the rest of issues with DB sorted or as you say it would be even more counterproductive working on harder dungeons when the movement and keeping up with tanks fails to often.
Hi, all, The comments about "DungeonBuddy being neglected" are sheer nonsense—DungeonBuddy is actively worked on. Just look at the Currently Known Bugs list for the past few releases. Look at the "Already fixed for next drop" section for .763 alone, and you'll see the vast majority of the repairs are to DungeonBuddy. The incredible value proposition provided by Honorbuddy does not allow for hiring another staff member. We have to work the master Bug list with the staff we have. It would probably be unwise to put another person on it, even if we had them. The beauty and robust capabilities of DungeonBuddy are because it had one architect with a vision—Master Highvoltz. I've personally had a very long career working with many software developers. This is hands down the most gifted and productive team I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Once again, if you can't wait... DungeonBuddy is an open architecture for scripting dungeons. You can write scripts yourself, until official ones arrive. I've always been confused as to why the DungeonBuddy user base doesn't do this more actively. Its just another bot like ProfessionBuddy or the Questbot, and there are a number of authors for those. I do agree honorbuddy has picked some really gifted devs. and yes you have fixed allot of problems / bugs. i personally wasn't getting at you guys. just agreeing would be nice to see some heroics. and maybe fix's for bugs that have been within the software for a long period of time. such as following the tank more prioritised and possibly quicker. anyway really off topic have a great new year when it comes.
There's always room for improvement. You can rest assured we're working on fixing bugs and implementing new features for our software, but we do have to prioritize our work, and some of the things you would love to see isn't always high on the overall priority list. Having said that, I know heroics are being worked on so you shouldn't have to wait too long before they drop.
Wondered the same, also why there isn't a paid alternative to DB aswell. Lvling and gearing alts is what i bought hb for... Either way, thanks for the response, hopefully Highvoltz get some time for DB in the near future
