Last update fixed nothing for Assassination. Still no Rupture in quest environment = no energy regen. Once again: please add 100% uptime for Rupture. It's top priority for PvE Assassination in any PvE environment. I mean first line should be: Code: if ((Rupture < 1 sec) and (combo > 0)) → queue Rupture on best (or any) target on next GCD. Not Envenom, not double builders. CAST RUPTURE. If you have any combo on switch after killing all ruptured targets cast Rupture before biulders. The only reason not to cast it -- you have 0 combo. Then cast (Blindsided) Dispatch / Mutilate → Rupture. After 92 lvl for standard quest mob workflow looks like: 1) Mutilate out of stealth (Shadow focus is best glyph for free Mutilate). 2) RUPTURE 3) MfD (as best option for questing) → Envenom 4) Blindsided Dispatch / Mutilate 5) Switch target if anything has aggro on me 5) RUPTURE next one 6) Mutilate / Dispatch if Envenom still up | MfD → Envenom if not. 7) repeat until everything is dead. 8) pickup and stealth Mobs will die very quick. You'll always have MfD -> Mutilate ready for next one because any kill gives: MfD reset + Energy back (died with Rupture up). The Rupture code not to cast on mob that have less than 2 time your max HP for example, your max HP is 100k, it will not Rupture mob have less than 200k HP The reason is in PvE, mob die faster than the Rupture duration and it's a combo point waste. Correct me if I'm wrong, I may miss something about the role of Rupture on Assassination spec. Happy New Year Buddies.
Anyone else experiencing the Rogue just keeps spamming Sinister Strike (Combat spec) even when Target has 5 combo points on it? It should Eviscerate or Slice'n'Dice or w/e. At least not keep spamming SS
Energy is rogues main DPS source. No energy = no damage from builders + no damage from CP finishers. Rupture is our energy regeneration. So you always need at least one Rupture active (multi-bleeding doesn't stack regeneration bonus) while in combat. Having Rupture is top priority. If target dies with Rupture up you'll get energy back (see spell description ingame). You can get up to 100% (= full bar) → switch to new target with full energy instead of zero energy. Also if you look into Assassination damage log you'll see Venomous Wound on top 1-3. It's about 15-20% of Assassination damage. Goes from poison ticks on Ruptured target ( = reason to spread Rupture and poison. And have Rupture on kill target). If you don't use Rupture you'll lose: energy regen, bleed damage (6-7%), and VW damage (15-20%). I'm not sure who is cool enough to kill multiply < x2 HP targets doing only 50-60% of possible damage It's auto hardcore mode to force people not level rogues? So we Rupturing not for it's damage but for side benefits like energy regen and instant VW ticks. That is why Rupture must be applied at second CGD after fight start (Mutilate → Rupture) and maintained till the end. Always keep it on current target. Spread with poisons on other targets in range. Maintain poison on Ruptured off-targets (any hit applies poison: autoattack. builder, finisher). You can kill weak mob w/o VW damage (anyway it starts after 6 GCDs and takes it's place after ~10 GCDs), but you'll have energy regen issues even with single mob since 3rd GCD. What if you pull more than one? Just autoattack the rest? Questing, dungeon run, raid trash fight PvE is about switching Not just single burst into weak mob to death. Hope your PvP Assassination has Rupture uptime.. there are no x2 HP targets in PvP A part of hard skill PvE mastering for Assassination is Rupture on about to die target for full energy regen during AoE fight. Rupture costs 25 only but regenerates to full. Well synergy MfD→Rupture about to die targets. Should be used only if rogue is low energy now and target will be dead until GCD ends. Since this action is DPS decrease per combo points now but DPS increase per energy in next 2 GCDs. If you'll be cool enough to implement it somewhen you'll need very careful DPS per combo and DPS per energy wight comparison. Simple workflow for trash 8+ AoE: 1) apply and maintain at least one Rupture (preferable at most long living target in range). 2) FoKs → 5 CP Crimson maintain. 3) FoKs → Rupture 2+ combo about to die target for regen | maintain Envenom for poison and Envenom hit damage | hit with Crimson for its instant aoe damage from hit

Hello, I have just bought premium routines for rogue and im wondering if any of You guys could share with me some vital information like: 1.Which specc is considered the best for HM? 2.Are settings (raid button or direct XML settings) included in the pack the most optimized for raiding? I am aware that in certain situations assasinasion specc is better than combat and the other way around, i just want to know which specc is more "routines friendly" Looking forward for feedback, Cheers guys!

For Sub my advice to skip Death from Above implementation (and mention it in routine's description). It's hard to master properly while benefit is not high enough "Too much pain -- not enough profit". I think that Subtlety rotation is easier (and at the same time more rewarding). Cleave and AoE are pretty easy here [removed. Simple = better ] [You have too many routines to maintain so I don't think that you really want to focus at Sub rogue theory mastering to get another +0.5% of performance]. Ignore my previous post about burst preparation stuff. Just pool [max-20] energy → cast Dance/Vanish following Noxe's guide Only delay Vanish if Dance is going to be ready in next 10 sec or FW is still up. Make sure your routine starts burst this way if Shadow Reflection is talented: 1) energy pooled → SR → Dance/Vanish → Ambush (always this order). It takes 1 GCD. (SR has 20 yards range, so do check for Ambush) Dance + SR must be synced when both about to ready. For cleave (2-3) rotation just fix FoK while dancing: use Ambush only as builder. For AoE never Dance. If already dancing go to FoK + Crimson ignoring Ambush. Check proper 5CP Rupture spreading and maintaining 100% Rupture main target is top single and cleave priority. Die but maintain it with clipping and help of rogue's gods If need to refresh while dancing -- do it. It's a GCD loss but just leave as is. Venom Rush is auto implemented because of sub cleave rotation specific. To bypass Subterfuge + Dance overlap issues on opener just add "/cancel Subterfuge" on Dance cast No need to burn energy for 40 energy Ambushes if can do 20 energy ones now. Subterfuge will work only after Vanish later in fight if someone talented with it. [HR][/HR] WoD Assassination Guide with nice design For low HP single targets (dungeons and quests) use low CP Rupture (like 2-3). For reapplying poisons in Cleave rotation (2-3 enemies): 1) if need to reapply Rupture also -- try Rupture since it has a chance to poison target like any other attack. 2) if no need to reapply Rupture -- autoattack off-target (if HB can do it ), FoK if 3 targets (best option if all targets will get poison), Mutilate/Dispatch if 2 targets (or if FoK succeeded only for one of the targets). Biggest pain for Assassination Waiting for Envenom is just an option. At higher ilvl Envenom uptime it big enough to not worry about it separately. At low ilvl you can't wait for it anyway . So problem solves itself. Implemented cleaving poison maintain system gives "auto ready" Venom Rush implementation If doing Cleave on opener / new burst during fight -- Spread Rupture+Poisons before burst! Then pop CDs. For burst in a middle of fight cleaving DoTs should be refreshed during burst preparation phase (10 seconds before SR+Vendetta will become ready). Then delay Rupture spreading until Vendetta ends. (Tell customers not to use Vendetta glyph for 100% cleave fights). While bursting you'll have to refresh poisons once
i like how performing assas. spec ; tuanha continue in this way. Assasination is the best and the stronger pve spec right now. Sub is crap spec is useless now and for u guys go assas. or combat and leave sub from u talents.
Really am I the only one having issues in Combat spec, using this profile in Combat Bot - After getting 5 combo points the Rogue just keeps spamming Sinister Strike. Rarely uses Eviscerate. Why? Makes no sense
Carefully read Bandit's Guide description After 4 SS you'll get next buff color. So it's better to spam SS first for faster buff progression then dump combos. While on red buff you spam SS for damage output. If 5 CP finishers wouldn't reset combat's main cooldowns and give energy you'll spam SS ignoring combo overcap . Only because of Ruthlessness you are forced to use Evis.
