hi, how do i use this? do i use gather bot or order bot? if i use gather bot, it changes all my equip sets from the 1st to the last(changes my classes) then walks in a straight line to..i dunno where... usually gets stuck if i use order bot, he just mounts my chocobo and runs to the edge of the maps and stay stills. i'm trying to get fire shards so what he did was teleport to horizon, mount chocobo and run to the edge of the map...and does nothing...also horizon doesnt have any fire shards, but water shards..
I will take a closer look at this later today; in the mean time, please post the log file, as it will explain to me what the bot is trying to do. This plugin uses OrderBot; I need to add a check to mention that when it's in the wrong mode.
According to my records, Horizon has Level 5 Mineral Deposits where Fire Shards can be harvested. Do you have a Miner? I believe the engine would not allow you to use a mining profile if you don't have a miner, but I could be wrong, as this tool was originally designed for mining only. If you don't have a miner, it looks like I need to patch the system to work with only one gathering skill if that is all that is available.
ahh i'm a botanist. i havent learnt mining yet does that mean i cannot use gatherassist to get plants for now?
Yes, it looks like I need to have an option to disable certain classes. In the mean time, you can remove the miner Fire Shard entries from the Content.cs file so it will ignore those options. I will let you know when I have an update to the tool to limit which class is used for gathering.
When I try to farm for wind or lighting nothing happens, do I need to upload a certain profile? Works for fine for fire shards and maple log so far.
Please attach your log; the plugin makes plenty of log notes (with debug on) that could explain what the problem is.
Thank you; I'll have to add some more logging to see the exact problem. When you say nothing happens, do you mean it travels to a new location, then stands there? I suspect it is looking for a higher level node than you are capable of seeing. What level is your gathering class? I need to see if I can filter out items by level requirements to avoid that. Alternatively, it can occasionally not find the nearby nodes when the radius is too low (in Content.cs), but I think we've caught most of those issues through field testing.
It switches to botanist(level 12) then just goes to the location and stands still. I think it's trying to harvest a level 35 tree or something. It's weird because from a level 5 tree I can see that there's a wind shard in it but it's not harvesting that, it goes to the higher level ones. Also is there a way to make the miner farm for wind shards instead? Update: I just tried to farm lightning shards and it goes to broken water (botany level 12)
I added some logic earlier to group items by Aetheryte ID, so it will currently go for the record from the lowest ID, or the one that will group it with the most other items in your list. This is to prevent teleporting. However, there is no logic to rule out nodes above the current level. I will work to get this written in; as the bot allows rapid leveling, not a lot of users have noted problems encountered at lower levels. I will keep you posted!
I'm not sure if you have addressed this or not, I didn't have a chance to read all the posts, I'm on a time limit here This was a limitation of profiles as well, although you can totally work around it, facts remain: You can't farm Crystals without also farming Shards. To address this, whether you farm crystals or not HAS to be determined by if you are maxed on shards. I was hoping you could make a workaround, or put some wildcard device or something in so that users could make their own workarounds. Or, for all I know, you already have made a workaround for it, which would be awesome
Actually, support for crystals is fairly new, since I adjusted the entire engine in the beginning to allow users to gather items they had never seen before. This requires hard-coding the slot number, and as we know, the slot number for crystals moves around. Anyway, I digress; I do not have any workaround for shard caps at the moment. What do you think it ought to do? Stop gathering those crystals if shards are maxed out, or something else?
Ah i see. I thought crystals always appeared in the same slot? Here's some advice i have from mass crystal/shard gathering: If you have 9997 shards and begin farming at a node with RB (Assuming 1 shard per hit!) You'll hit it twice, then it will refuse to let you gather another one, this results in RB getting stuck in a node, refusing to do anything but attempt to gather another shard! There are a couple realistic workarounds for that: Easy way: Never set it to gather more than something like 9900 shards/crystals! Hard way: Make RB disengage a node when the shards = 9999 --- Continuing on, Yes, That's pretty much exactly what we need, I think! If Lightning Shard|Lightning Crystal > 9900, Flag as completed Sorry- I don't really know how to program for jack, so psudocode is the best you get >.>;
I may be getting confused with the pigments, which slide up a slot whenever crystals appear. I'll definitely get this handled in a future release. I'm excited, but also extremely intimidated for when crafting finally shows up, because I want to build this up to acquire materials and craft items, based only on the final crafting counts. That's going to be a ton of database work
should also add Timeworn maps to it along with Seeds. could be a check box to make a priority or something idk. im a fan of Boarskin Maps vs Piestskins.
For the record, I still love Psykador, a free fishing bot that you can find on FFEVO, to my knowledge it's still up to date and works well.
