hi, Is it possible to add a coach mode to Hearthbuddy where it simply tells you the move to do? This would speed up the play, as at the minute as other posts have said its too slow when the board gets more than 3 or 4 minions
ofcourse its possible. but maybe for another third party program. thebuddy programs are purely for macroing (botting) if you want someone to tell you every play why not try to get better yourself instead?
Never used it but botmaker had a crude version of this in his ai. That would place the info in the window HsB. Not sure what came of it you have to ask in the Silverfish AI thread Its possible but will it happen any time soon or will it be up to a 3rd developer to finish if the API is there.
Then your point was not clear because i thought you were asking for this mode because it was slow and not simply complaining if the bot can be speed up My bad.
This mode is actually supported by Silverfish already, it's just not exposed as an option users can change though the GUI yet, but it won't speed up play. The current setup will make it run slower and perform a lot worse than the bot does, because it's updating a lot more, waiting for the user to perform an action than it would when the bot was in control. You'll notice this as you try to play cards and stuff, since the client will be a lot more laggy (as you'll have to disable the bot's input control to interact with the client). A better alternative is to have it triggered on a button press rather than run automatically to avoid performance issues of trying to obtain and process so much information from the game so fast. As mentioned in other threads, improvements to play speed is being worked on, but it's not a simple issue. There's a lot more going on in the client than users know about, but we'll get something worked out eventually.
