If I was to bot on one account and play normally on my main, would there be a risk of my main getting banned even though I'm not botting on it? I've read around and some people claim they have been IP banned before and some people say that the main will not be banned, only the botting account. Any chance someone could clear this up for me? Would I need to use a V P N or something? If someone could detail the steps I should make, that would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, it can get banned.. For exploting the economy of the server, trust me - i just lost 18 botting accounts 1 seller account + 1 main i never botted on
it's the same as i do, just in a small version i make all my toons deposit items in my GB's.. then i log on my seller account, grab the gold.. sell it off
Yes, I'm planning on botting on one account, then sending everything to a gbank for my main to collect, now would this somehow get my main banned?
It could, i never traded gold to my main.. or botted on it.. and it still got banned They were NOT linked in ANY way at all, blizzard banned all of my accounts ^^
Blizzard could have gotten your main a number of ways. It could have been your IP, MAC, HWID, Install ID, payment information, char naming schema, ect
i have like 3 million on main account, and got tons of accounts banned (not under same bnet account) and they never touched main acc
HWID is the only possible way The payment information is too spread out for them to be able to link 5+ guilds with 5+ toons in them.. some even had over 500 members Char naming ussualy comes from the tv series i watch on a daily basis - murder suspects and what not, or simply just a wow name generator ^^ unlike the stolen cc bots "afadfgafhgra" ^^
Did you try appeal the ban on the main account? Seems wierd for them to go after ip and whatnot when you can have a roommate/family member that bots etc.
Yes, after 10 phone calls, and speaking with their legal department in france - they banned it because of "guilt by association".
