Hey, I am currently an FFXIVMinion user and have looked over RebornBuddy as a possible switch just wanted to know how the combat profiles are DPS wise? do they reach near top of the chart dps with end game gear? is the gathering any good? the reason i am considering the switch is due to FFXIVMinion requiring 4+ Bots for Duty runs AFK and i am not really into that so thinking this bot might suit me better but want to be certain it will fit what i need since the forum seems quite messy and not sure whats upto date and what is not!. Hello, I recently switched from MMOMinion and I've found that RebornBuddy's combat routines are just as good if not better if you have some coding knowledge. You can always just pay for the 1 day trial and give it a try before buying the lifetime key.

Some routines such as Ultima and Kupper have a GUI but are relatively simple when it comes to options. If you want to do any kind of modifications to the core rotation then you're going to have directly change the rotation. The one thing I miss about MMOMinion's routines is the filter system, which allows you to swap between rotations on the fly (e.g. Filter 1 for single target, pushing hotkey for Filter 2 enabled AoE, etc). As it right now, I manual AoE on all of my jobs and it's not too bad, especially since there's no monthly sub for it since I boughtlifetime membership. That being said, the routines are always being updated so I wouldn't be surprised if something similar is added at some point in the future.
I personally prefer the rotations on here compared to minion. Especially since minion refuses to add auto face support lol. The routines are gradually getting better as well. There is routines for every class/role at the moment, Ultima is showing a lot of promise at the moment. It is still early, but still deals respectable dps for nin at least. (haven't tried to many other classes with it) If it had aoe and more options, it could really go places. Enjoy!
Took the leap and bought a lifetime key..not disappointed considering the key is valid for 9 Years it says and since this bot is much cheaper it should get much more development going soon! One thing that would be cool is if it was a bit easier to setup "Farming" Profiles for certain mobs to get all the items you need in one spot!
Right now if you want to farm something you gotta make an OrderBot profile. It's basic XML, and it's very versatile. Gathering was made easier with GatherAssist plugin though.
Will give it a shot was looking at creating a profile for grinding just with the mob ID's that i wanted to farm in a circle but orderbot might be a simpler task. Thanks so much for the response
Definitely use OrderBot for grinding over any other bot base. You just have to specify a "GrindArea" with a single location and a radius, and what mobs you want to grind, then make the order to do it until a condition is met. You can see some other profiles here in the forums to get an idea how it's done. There are some 1 - 50 profiles around.
I don't think it's all that silly. RB has a VERY low incidence of reporting. I am sure that is something the developer prides himself in. For every hour I play I probably bot for 24 and have had zero issues. I can see where you are coming from, but if the bot is terribly obvious, it isn't terribly beneficial for the community either. I am sure navemesh is something of a chore to properly aquire as well, considering it isn't something you can just "go and do at will". As much shit as I gave masahg for promising crafting and not delivering, it seems to be rather solid. There are already some good profiles for it. After seeing crafting implemented I am totally in agreement that I would rather see something done right rather than rushed.
i use RB over all bots others, the only add on i use with RB is basabot for amazing marco auto craftings for all disciplines of hands
minion has several SOLO modes as well you dont always have to be in duty mode. You can gather, unspoiled node gather, you can do fates, atama farming, crafting, pvp. Duty mode is the only mode that actually requires 4 bots. You dont have to have 4 bots of your own you can group with others. So i think you may of missunderstood the options there.
minion you have alot of options for solo bot. Reborn is missing the 1 feature alot of people like which is 4 bot duty farming( Using teleport). Any plans to bring this feature to rebornbuddy?
No. RB does not support teleporting. You are exponentially more likely to get banned for teleporting. RB, along with all buddy bots, automates things that normal humans can do. It will never support teleporting, but it will eventually have a dungeon bot which runs dungeons normally, certainly.
I hope RB never goes into the pvp business for some reason. I loved my time during wow and the wealth my bot produced for me but something about being in bgs for all those years with bad bots is just something that will always leave a bad taste in my mouth. I find the more bots are involved in pvp the more attention said bot gains because the pvp crowd is much more fickle then normal players. It will bring the limelight on RB so that is just my opinion.
