[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

So Uhm I know this is kinda an open ended question that'll be hard to answer cause there are so many variables. But with this combat routine with a 665 item level Arcane Mage, would it perform like someone that is very good at playing arcane, DPS wise? Or would it be a little behind?

A Routine is only as good as its Dev and on that bases this should preform amazingly since millz is and amazing Dev. The only down fall with using a script is you can not fully choose then to cast a set spell i.e you may know that at a set out its best to cast a spell but the script doesnt know this because its not scripted for set fights its done on a general bases. This will put out more dps than you will if you could just stand there with no tactics and cast to your hearts content but in a fight when you would prefer to use said spell as said set point then you yourself will be better (if you know how to play Arcane mage well).

This answer is pretty much bang on. The routine does an optimal rotation for most fights, but there are some bosses where certain tricks can be used which increase DPS that the routine doesn't handle, and it's those situations where a good player will out DPS the bot. For the most part though, the bot will do a very good job and play competitively.

You can trial it via the buddy store for 2 days. The trial option shows once you login to the store website

 

what are some of the tricks to gain dps on each boss while using the combat routine im curious

 

Like saving cooldowns for a new unit that's about to join the fight. So if you knew 3 new units were going to appear next to the boss in 10 seconds, you'd hold off casting Frozen Orb.

The routine can't predict that, so it just casts Frozen Orb when the conditions are met.

What macro do you have, or how do you use it manually?

I would like to stop DPSing at once & use Ice Block, then come back to DPSing.

Before i purchase this routine i wanted to know how it does for Fire in both PvP and Raiding (Mythic) thank you

 

In fire, i only use in Tactus, and for now, the dps is very low. I play manually and can get 5k avergage more. I have 676 gear.

Millz can we get an Trinket option for "ON PC - when Bloodlust not active" The on PC is great - but we lust usually at starts of fight and then the haste from the Shards of nothing is wasted I think?

 

Just fired up the FREE version of Portal. Im in frost spec. And for some reason it isn't using Prismatic Crystal nor Icy Veins. Checked the routine settinggs and Icy Veins is set to be used On boss or Player+BF/FoFAura but I see no setting for Prismatic Crystal.

Tried it again, this time I manually applied Prismatic Crystal, my mage DPS'd the crystal and when it was over, just stood there. I had to then manually choose a target. Is this working as intended?

 

Yes sure, but i like try to more in dummy and boss, tomorrow i go try Tectus Mythic full enchants and jewels and after try.

I think that atm until BFR is better go full arcane, and when we get items critic/haste, try the fire spec

 

Fire would be good for me right now because I have a lot of crit.

Millz can you look at this log of Butcher Attempts - I saw my mana go below 10% a few times and more disturbing I saw some really short burn phases it looked like.

 

It used to do this, but since WoD came out it triggered incorrectly and caused lots of issues, so the cancel cast ice block logic was removed. Now it just Ice Blocks when it's finished it's cast.

Need more details and a log file really. Method have updated their fire mage guide, and from a very brief look over it, the routine seems to be performing the same logic, however I need to go through it more and see if there's anything missing. Shouldn't be a 5k difference.

Would mean delaying a trinket usage by up to 40 seconds. Better off getting the trinket used, on cooldown and ready to use again ?

The free version hasn't been updated for WoD yet. Surprised it even loaded!

Yeah it auto targets, and it has different option for PC;



You can trial the premium one for 2 days through the store before buying though.

 

Hi! can anybody put his configuration with the Fire? I dont know why I only do 16k dps with 655 ilvl, its normal?

 

Which rotation are you using for Fire? The standard one or have you enabled the 'advanced PvE' one ? Post a log file too, may be something setup wrong.
