I am trying to use the fire specialization and it isn't working at all. When I have the talent Firebomb it just casts that, and when I have anything else it casts nothing. Arcane worked fine, but with the new updates to Fire this Tuesday, I would like to try doing that. I can't figure out what is wrong. This is what the bot says.

Use the cooldowns hotkey, that just 'holds' cooldowns. Burst alters the rotation.

Wasn't aware of that combustion trick, but could be interesting. It seems like just before you cast combustion (because your ignite is high) then just double cast inferno blast, then combustion on a different target. I'll have a look into it.

Aiming to push a new build today.

The SVN version won't work. The free version hasn't been updated yet. Will do it when I have free time

You just have to build big ignite on prismatic, double spread it by double inferno from 2T17 and just combust on the other target, so it's even awesome on single target fights.

 

Yeah. It works good with Meteor as well. There's a limitation on finding ignite power I need to work around to get this to work good first.

 

First off, very nice work find the routine class. Now I wanted to ask what Mage in Momment cool going on in PvP? How should I set everything to make it work optimally because I now had a long break and WoW before, I've played with the routine PvE and I found it really hammer but with PvP, I know my not so out ALso what do you recommend me? What talents, glyphs, etc.

A lot of the settings are down to personal preference for PvP. You need to set it up to cast abilities how and when you want it to do so.

 

Pushed a new build, waiting for approval now:

[03/Feb/2015]
- The frost nova replacement ability when set to 'On Prismatic Crystal' will wait until >= 4 Incanter's Flow stacks if talented for it.
- [Arcane] Fixed mana % getting very low before Evocation casts.
- [Arcane] 'Burn Phase' can now be toggled using the Cooldowns hotkey.
- [Fire] Added support for T17 4PC.
- [Fire] Improved Meteor conditions.
- [Fire] Instant Pyroblast will now be cast while moving.
- [Fire] Living Bomb will no longer manually multi-DoT unless in a BG or Arena.
- [Fire] Flamestrike is no longer spam cast under high AoE conditions.
- [Fire] Combustion is now cast on the unit which has the highest ignite debuff value, which will still be alive for at least 15 more seconds. Prefers boss or player units where possible.
- Added stop casting logic for Franzok - Blackrock Foundry - Disrupting Roar.
- Increased the allowable window for casting an interrupt spell.

 

Millz - how do I read the log for combustion / ignite settings? how does it work if I check On CD instead?

 

You basically want to search for "[Portal ~ Debug] [Ignite] Current:" in the log file, then look at it for the first ~20-30s of a boss fight for the initial combustion, and at the end of a boss fight for the rest of the fight's value.

So for the first ~20 seconds looking at Hans'gar/Franzok.. You hit your max ignite after 10 seconds (which is 12622).
[Portal ~ Debug] [Ignite] Current: 5199 - 90th Percentile: 7262 - Max: 12622 - Average: 3537.2

Then at the end of the fight..
[Portal ~ Debug] [Ignite] Current: 4351 - 90th Percentile: 7360 - Max: 12622 - Average: 3953.6

I'd set both of the values to 7300 (using the 90th percentile value - means 10% of the time your ignite goes over this). If it can keep building ignite power using procs then it'll do so before casting the combustion.

 

o I have now adapted talents and some tried. But my character is really bad and failt only in BGs why? Attakct not go into the fight and made ​​dan r nothing more ...

I normally configure when the average that i have in Skada, but i try to use log file.

I have about 2 hours of log to trys in Tectus Mythic, so how i can find my average and search numbers in log?

how high have any1 gotten with this CR in MOP season? Arena and RBG? Also the PvP Guide is from MOP, would love to get an update



Edit: Btw is there a way to turn off the auto targeting? like when a mage uses ice block, he will find the closest target to dps, is it a way to turn that off ?

- Time the problem started
A finite moment and specific moment in time something occurred. I need for you to indicate the instant you noticed the problem occur. That requires a time such as "14:53:02" or "Start of fight against boss X" or "Boss X around 50% HP". It is fine to lists multiple occurrences, but each should be a single instant/moment in time. This information is critical, especially in cases where you are posting about something that did not happen (did not cast Fire Blast for example.) If you find yourself wanting to say "Always" or "Everytime" then please re-read this paragraph until you no longer want to.

If you search in the logs for "[Portal ~ Debug] [Ignite] Current:" then it'll show you the values (easier in notepad++ then click find all in current document). Match those up with the opener on a boss fight and the overall from the end of a fight and you've got the rough figures to use. I may add an automatic option for this so the routine figures it out itself.

Disable the targeting option on the General tab (or use the hotkeys to toggle it on and off).

 

Millz - fire has some issues as you can see here. Or its my settings. Dragons breath wasn't going off as much as it should with tons of adds in front of it. There were numerous times combustion was not being used and just sitting ready to go. As a comparison - the lower geared fire mage in my guild did like 5k more dps =/ ...I blamed lag lol.

 

is it possilbe to make a short summary for each spec which setup i shoult take and which options i should use in Portal would be nice

 

The Advanced PvE to fire is starting to look good Ranked in top 20 out of 700+ on Operator Thogar last night. (with "Use AoE Abilities" off)

I see you have add the - [Fire] Added support for T17PC. But is that for the 2x too and is there any plan on adding the Ignite trick with PC some person few post above me were talking about?

 

I'll work on Dragon's Breath usage.

Combustion wasn't being used as it was below your ignite settings. I'll improve the conditions behind the 'On Cooldown' setting, and add some more settings to automatically adjust the values.
