Hi guys, I wondered if you had any thoughts on why gold buying demand is still pretty low? Cata has just been released, mat prices are very high, people are starting the new raids and arena season, I don't understand why demand is still so low.
Because there is an abundance of supply. Gold sellers knew this was coming, so they've been stocking up (at lower prices) to sell when Cata hit. Give it a little while to let the supplies start to dry up, then the demand and price will go up.
High mat prices means people need more gold to buy them though, you think people are just waiting out for mat prices to settle down before they want to buy gold to spend on them? It's not abundance of supply, that would just drive the prices down.. the demand overall is low.
Because gold is getting less important. Since WoTLK blizzard released many ways to acquire gold without farming and reduced the cost of raiding + PVP. Lets recap: 1. You can farm gold by doing PVP and trading in honor for gems 2. You can farm gold by raiding and selling BoE's and Saronite/Hilt 3. You cannot use more than 1 Haste Potion as well as healing/mana potions anymore.
Still costs a shit ton to get your professions up, any min/maxer will be doing that. Cost me a lot to level my engy, since I only farmed airs/obsidium. those Hardened Ele bars were 500 a pop..
Yeah, gold is really easy to come by now I'm finding. Maxed out mining n hardly no time at all, then 200g's a stack.. alchemists get 1500k/g for a truegold on my sever
On my server gold seems to be in short supply. My friend bought some gold 3 days ago. But the supplier haven't been able to give him his gold yet. Because they lack the gold to fill his order! Dont ask me why he bought gold and were tho
It doesn't help that every botter brags how much they make per day, too. You really think these websites don't take note of this?
