When you make a new account, do you have to buy all the expansions again including WoD? People are buying 100-120 accounts and that seems very expensive.
That's so retarded, I don't know how people who are "big botters" can buy 100-120 accounts and still make money. This one guy was talking about how he lost 70 accounts in a week and he has to make a ton more now and level them. Stupid
why stupid? people just think in different scales. the small botter thinks: 1 account is 20$, so i have to make at least 21$ turnover to be fine. thats usually done in 3-4 days of farming with 1 account. the medium botter thinks: 10 accounts are 200$ so i have to make at least 210$ turnover. thats usually done in 3-4 days of farming with 10 accounts. the big botter thinks: 100 accounts are 2000$ so i have to make at least 2100$ turnover. thats usually done in 3-4 days of farming with 100 accounts. i cant see any stupidity in different scales. if you don't have the resources to think medium, just think small. it is the same. the small botter has a profit of 1$ after 3-4 days, the medium botter has a profit of 10$, the big botter has a profit of 100$
If I had the hardware Id run 5000 accounts but Id also need to hire about 30 people to help me maintain them. Also. 95% of us dont pay even close to $20 an account.
I thought he was talking about battlechests only as they are $20 regularly. But yeah $15-20 for a full RU account.
From 1999-2002 I had a partnership with a Turkish gentleman. He had an electronics store in Instanbul (somewhere very near there at least) and had some extra space so he hired individuals to play Everquest, Ultima Online, and Asheron's Call. I provided all the initial batch of game licenses and a partial amount for all the equipment and salaries concerning upfront costs. That was my first experience with thinking big lol. Sometimes it takes a leap, but there are always possibility for those with time and money to invest. I was able to buy a brand new motorcycle, four wheeler, and car with the cash. Always nicer to think of the cash you'll make through online games as a bonus rather than money to pay the rent, but that is because that is what worked for me not because there is anything wrong with it that way. After that we branched into selling entire accounts on many MMOs including some of the first max level characters in Vanilla. I know I went way off topic, but I just felt lime reminiscing and making @cg1203im2's point in a different way. Prior to my meeting this guy I was just selling some items on ebay and various message boards having fun.
many people get by with only buying the BattleChest. You can usually find these on sale though blizzard for 5usd a few times a year.
