Does Blizzard ban accounts that send an RAF invite to to new accounts that are used for botting? Obviously, the bot account could get banned, but would the account sending the RAF be at risk even if it isn't used for botting or selling gold?

When Raf'd you have to remember all the accounts will be linked, even if every account would run on a diffrent pc with diffrent IP - if one gets investigated, every linked account will be aswell. Are they botting ? they will probably get banned.

But RaF is commonly used by legit players so it isn't cost effective to investigate every account that has RaF as it would be waste of their resources.

you will not get banned by sending an raf invite to an other account. no matter what the account will do.

How does Blizzard link the accounts? If I use my main to send an RAF b/c I want the free month and mount, while my main never bots or sells gold, but my alt acct which got RAF from my main does bot/sell gold... and if they investigate my alt acct at some point and ban it, will they ban my main?

You cant guarantee that. If there is a GM investigation with 200 accounts that all were raf'ed by the same player and all those accounts are hack farming dungeons. You can bet your ass that the account that sent the raf will get banned.

oh damn i was thinking about how to create 200 accounts to hackfarm dungons. without the idea to raf them with my mainaccount i would still have no idea how to start. thanks for the advice
      no they will not.
if you transfer gold form your 2nd bot account to your main account they might ban your main. but not for sending an raf invite

Have you seen anyone, who hack-farming dungeons to use RAF? Its highly unreasonable. The "hack" farmers do use fraud practices, which do not need any RAF benefits.

But if you are mentioning the common 5man dungeon farmers, or Azyul suicide dungeon farming, this could not be classified as "hack" no matter what, its simply botting :D

And the GM could have no-single reason to ban legit account, which is not connected to the botting ones in any way:

      1. It do not share the same computer or local subnet with the botting ones.

      2. It do not have any kind of ingame interaction with the botting accounts, neither with being in same guild, traded ingame, f2f, AH etc., sent/received COD mails with them, being in the friend list, anything!

No point to demonize the Game Masters, the are not emo kids, who do ban people for no reason, when they are in bad mood, they follow strict policies regarding their work, like anyone else!
