Well, I am happy to say, running HB with a 5 man pally team (tank, heals and 3 DPS) from 1-100 was a blast! Insta-cues on dungeons all day long and insane leveling speed. I avg. 1-100 in less than 20 hours played. This is without looms or RaF. Plus, the insane amount of gold that I have made while leveling has made my main very happy. I have setup all the bots to mail to my banktoon, who in turn has been running AH bot and selling everything that I have gathered from dungeons. I didn't bother with d/e items as I really just didn't have the time. But the cloth drops as well as all the greens more than made up for the lack of d/e'ing. I am thinking about running another 5-man team and curious to see what ideas you guys toss my way as far as what class and spec I should go with.
Tank = Warrior (or better DK when available, because of the insane selfheal) Heal = Priests For me this is the best Tank / Heal Setup. And then you can use every DD you want. Maybe 1 Melee and 2 Ranges...for example Warlock, Rogue and Balance Druid. They make good damage and the Druid can help with Off-Heal ^^
jesus thats fast levelling , took me at least double that with a conventional warr, priest, mage, sham, hunter party. I hear dk, 3 x hunter, priest is fast - then priest goes shadow and ques as healer and off spec heals as needed, to farm 90 mop dungeons for cheap battle nets. i think i might try that next.
20 hours played sounds absurdly low. I got 1-85 in 18 hours played WITH Heirlooms and RAF... with no getting stuck.
yeah 1-100 in 20 hours sounds like some serious BS. but does it matter? Its not like we're playing by hand rofl. My expectation is probably like 1-90 in 24 hours and then 90-100 in like 20-30 hours. Total roughly 2 days. Also, ret paladins are extremely strong for dungeon dps. They're almost on par with hunters.
Guys do you just have a super powerful computer to run 5 instances of wow or do you use 5 different computers?
I was running 5 copies of wow no problem on a PC that's 3 years old now; it isn't that demanding at low graphics settings. Hell, we ran multiple copies on one PC back in the glider days.
You could do a 5 druid team, if you wanted that kind of thing. I like the 5 paladin idea. I'd do it myself, but I don't have the resources to own 5 accounts, lol.
For leveling fast casters simply suck. 5 Monks could be cool cause monkheal does dps on its own and monktank is crazy in dps. Druids? 3 feral + guardian + balance sounds nice.
With only 2 looms and no RAF i did 1-100 in 48 hrs as pally tank while harvesting all nodes when i wasnt in a dungeon and including the que times after you hit LK and i still hit 100 in 48 hours played so i can totally see how 20 hours is doable with a constant 5 man team.
I ran a Pally tank, Priest heals, rogue hunter monk dps and went 1-15 grind, then straight dungeons to 100 in just under 20 hours. Avg was 1-90 in 14-15 hours via dungeons.
5 accounts, 1 computer 2 screens. ran tank on main screen the other 4 on the other screen. That way I could babysit and see if any of them were acting like idiots lol.
