Ok, I have put them into the settings and I have some questions on burst mode. What will happen when I do CTRL-B to enable burst ? Is this how I initiate a Boss fight opener ? Also, I notice in the Advanced settings that they are all checked under "Experimental". What do the first and last checks do ? Am I risking anything by enabling chat output, and if so, what chat output are we getting with this checkbox that we havent already seen ?

Burst mode isn't recommended for PvE, just let the rotation run.

The chat output just prints 'aoe enabled/disabled' etc into your game's client window. While it isn't detectable that we're aware of, that doesn't mean Blizzard couldn't hook in and detect it in future. This will be changing to an overlay eventually. For now I'd stick with the audible sound option for toggles.

 

Hey Millz the sims are out for 6.1. Could we get a modification for Demo single target for 6.1 ?

It looks like the only thing you have to do at this stage is change GoServ to summon doomguard instead of Felguard. Besides that the rotation looks like it is going to simply be the same rotation as 5.4 ( pre demonbolt ). I really hope this is temporary

The AOE changes you made are perfect, those are still very much viable so please please please don't change any of those

Millz have since some days on his to do list the implementation of a drop down menu for GoServ. Hopefully he can push this so it is more configurable for the future.

Hi, just read the patch notes again and I can't find the 25% nerf to Demon Bolt now?! It was there the other day, all the other bits are still there, does that mean they're not nerfing it now?

 

Simulationcraft Results For demo single target

Simulationcraft Results Showing demo still 2nd best single target lock spec, and only 101 dps behind destro with optimal gear. If you were demo in 6.0 your gear is optimized way more for demo, so demo would be the best bet to do the most DPS come 6.1. With a 101 dps difference, and demo being more mobile of the two specs, you will probably still want to go demo in almost every situation.

Demo also still owns the AOE for locks : Simulationcraft Results and Simulationcraft Results


So all those people that were "excited" to see destro and affliction beat demo, you will have to wait a while longer Demo is STILL the top spec on the block for locks.

Demonbolt (Demonology) damage decreased by 25%.

 

It's still there under Talent Balance.

I spoke with Millz yesterday and today and given him the things we need to optimise for 6.1. He's on it, we should be ok when patch hits (assuming devs will update HB swiftly)

 

For those wondering right now, Demo is the way to go after 6.1 hits us especially for those who have 4pc tier17 on them, bonus is just too good, and we will own AoE as usual. Also there is a gear factor BRF gear is just perfect for Demo with good haste/crit balance for any situation. There might be more things to do when patch hits us but I will know for sure only after patch, got some improvements in mind but need to test it first

 

Everything else you said is accurate, but this seems off. Demo priority is Mastery/Haste not haste/crit.... Unless you are suggesting a difference in the state weights which I have not seen from any theorycrafters or sim craft simulations. Everything seems to be pushing Mastery far far above crit in every situation especially without demonbolt. Especially since pets (doomguard / serv. doomguard / wild imps / 2piece meta ) all scale much better from mastery then crit, and will amount to about 40% of our damage.

Also, really seems like a typo since most gear in BRF is mastery/haste not haste /crit.

If this wasn't a typo can you please paste a reference link with theory crafting info on why haste/crit is better then mastery / haste for for 6.1 demo locks ?

Why not Play demo in Arena?? I Play demo on 2.2k ranking, singleshot the other Team with a nice demonbolt/chaoswave is just too funny to not Play it XD
Use the pve settings from kink and than change fury Amount for meta, dot HP to 0, hotkeys like u want them and all the Talents that u need. I Play all via hotkeys and routinestop on kkeypress, is the Best i think.

 

I didn't mention mastery because mastery doesn't need to be balanced since it is TOP STAT and it's assumed we want it on every piece of gear. We need to have good balance between haste and crit to be equally effective in all situations. I thought that everyone including birds outside my house already know mastery is top stat and it's not needed to repeat that. -.-
I don't make mistake when I say things it's just that sometimes not everyone is on my level so people don't understand what I want to say since I'm usually 2 steps ahead of things

 

Is there a solution for the Kromog disaster? My bot stand just still and want to cast hand of Guldan. The bot is to far to cast it.

My dps fall from 30k to 22 on that fight
