Hey guys been using honorbuddy for years now and never had a single ban as I have always been carefull 100% watching it bot all the time. I just recived a suspension and in the email it said it had detected 3rd party software obviously honorbuddy I would recommend people not use the bot till this has been sorted.

      Copy of email:
      Code:
      Action: 72 Hour Suspension
      Violation: Unapproved Third Party Software

Blizzard will take action against any players using third party programs, which operate outside the World of Warcraft software, to gain an advantage in the game. This software may include increasing movement or teleportation hacks, automating gameplay, or other changes that subvert the mechanics or design of the game. This can also include programs that obtain information not normally available to the regular player, or that transmit or modify any of the game files.

Normally, this classification does not include UI modifications or addons, except those UIs that require an external application to function.

This is a warning against the above behavior, which Blizzard deems unacceptable for World of Warcraft. This is covered in the World of Warcraft Code of Conduct and Terms of Use (http://www.blizzard.com/company/legal/wow_tou.html).

In addition to this warning, your game license has been issued a suspension as detailed above. Your game license will not be available for play during this time.

As the account holder, you are responsible for the activity associated with this game license. Further violations will result in harsher suspensions or permanent closure.

Honorbuddy is not detected, relax! If it would so, you would never receive 72h suspension, but Account Closure only!

This means, translated to the geek's language: You have overused your default farming method and received number of flags for botting server-side, and/or received some player reports regarding the same issue.

I think they gave me the 72hour ban just because it was my first ever ban.

It honestly is the absolute worst time for botting I've experienced. Not only botting gives less of a profit than ever, it is much more risky (lots of bans, and quite unusual ones). Furthermore, gold demand is hitting a all-time low.

regarding Op's claim, I don't think it is being detected. But I find it very likely that they could be searching for running processes beyond what they were supossed to, legally speaking. In the end, who's gonna stand up and sue them?

Not even the buddy staff would dare to start a new legal process, after the slaps we have been receiving on the last decisions.

Well i receive something difrent "Thank you for contacting us via the blizzard customer support website regarding the permanent closure of your account WoW1,

Following a review of your case, I can confirm that the evidence presented that you were using third party software to automate your activity was correct, and that the subsequent action taken to permanently close your account was appropriate. Our decision in this matter stands, and will not be overturned.

We recommend you read the following links regarding the reasons and what this means for your account "

They "detect" that if you have a routine every day. Like 3 hours you farm, 3 hours you rest and 7 hours you pvp. Thats something blizzard can detect. This does not mean honorbuddy is detected, but the way your schedule is buildt up is detectable as 3rd party software.

Actually, you rest now, for uncertain amount of time ....

Now seriously, after 6.1 its clear that Blizzard had made their server side botting behavior flag mechanisms much more aggressive, and they do catch tons of casual botters, who do bot in garrison, or open Draenor for 8-16 hours daily.

Before 6.1, players were reporting, that botting 24/7 in outdoor Draenor is pretty safe enough for at least 3-4 weeks!

It is obvious, that time have gone! Just bot smarter!

I have had perma bans without warnings. If they have hard enough evidence, they will ban you without warning. Just take it easy for a few weeks1

What botting were you doing in your garrison that could have triggered an alert?

I had proffesion buddy fish for maybe 2 hours I was constantly watching it and even stoped the bot every so often to click a few of the fish in my bags as that is what a player would do.
