Well, been using the bot for a few months on and off mostly for leveling and farming rep. Got an email today for a one week ban for unusual activity on my account. They didn't say much more then that. Not 100% if its related to the bot, but I was doing the Voss weekly when it happened. I didn't see somewhere for me to post this. Just figured i'd let you guys know. They maybe starting to monitor bot profiles again, especially older ones.
Uhm I think you should ask why. "unusual activity" is a broad concept. Maybe for some of these reasons? STAR WARS: The Old Republic - Recent actions against some customer accounts Add: they can "metric" what they want. As long as you are sitting behind your PC while botting they can't detect the bot as bot as long as it's not stuck or unstucking while they're watching. In other games they also port toons that are obviously botting to another spot to see the reaction. bots I have been using had the function to shut down and even kill the client after posting an editable text in /say as soon as this happens this bot was also able to detect gamemaster-toons within a range of max. 500m depending on the max range of the targeting. I'm not sure if this "porting" or GMs can be detected by BW. I was botting 4 days through in the beginning but then reduced it to my actual playing time. May I ask how long you have been botting in swtor (per day that is)
I did reply to their email asking why? I was actually watching the bot on voss when it happened. My game pushed me to the server list, but wouldn't let me go back in. Then I relaunched and it said there is an issue with my account that I needed to check my email. I only botted with ALOT of babysitting two toon's to level 35, and one to 55 but that was over a month ago now. Besides that I used it to farm yavin and voss really on two different level 60's. When I did bot it wouldn't be for more then an hour, really however long it took to run those profiles. I told myself I was just going to farm one rep spot at a time. So honestly I would considered my bot time to be very minimal. I barely talk to anyone, not apart of a guild, no open tickets, so I really have no idea how I was banned.
If I got the procedures from BW correctly they do alot of investigations before banning a bot - so it doesn't necessarily mean that you have been banned because of botting in voss. You could have been put in consideration weeks before that. I feel sorry for you don't get me wrong (it is a one-week-ban only but I know how it feels like not being sure to continue botting or not). This is why I would never bot with my "real" account. There's just to much in stake. I bot mostly because of the credits, aditional loots etc. When my chars are 60 I will also get them a decent gear and after I'm done I will simply sell them What did they answer when you asked them why you have been banned? Any details or did they stick to the set phrase that it's due to unusual activity.
Why? When you babysit you can as well join a guild, communicate to others and even help them out. When you're solo all the time and non of your toons is part of the guild, I would call that "unusual" as well.
In the past we would have said, be as private as possible, no guild, no chat, etc. For swtor I advice, be in a guild, do a FP from time to time. There are a shitload of guilds which do mass invite to get as much peeps as possible.
yep! I created a guild with my main with over 400 user (all bonus up of course it's pure leveling guild) and my bots are in there (only 1 each bot account and only the ones that are actively botting).
They ban people for buying credits ? Since this bot is broken and i can't find any source of income im considering trying to buy credits.
