If you haven't already seen it on Reddit of Elvinelol then here is the link to the Horde speed leveling route Warlords of Draenor - Horde 90-100 Speed Leveling Guide Pretty detailed route, that cleverly uses exp pots and guild banners to boost exp from treasures while doing some easy quests and objectives. The quickest he did it by hand was 4 and a half hours: I imagine this would be highly sought after for anybody wanting to level alts as fast as possible. I did it by hand today without using the buffs and had to do a few extra quests and treasures but not many. Assuming it doesn't get nerfed into the ground, but I guess I'll have a look if no one else is doing it.
That guide was made in October and still works pretty well definitely the fastest. Hasn't been nerfed as far as I'm aware. So hopefully they'll leave it for players that don't care for the lore.
Annndd I already gave up when I couldn't fidn the 3rd treasure in my garrison lol, trueman might have a look though that was annoying.
Actually didn't know that will fix. 1 is towards the trees in the west, one is in a cave under your fishing shack in the water, the other is behind the tower with the portal to warspear on, just north of your mine
Few problems with this. 1. Speed doesn't really matter when botting. 2. You need a high ilvl at lvl 90 to even attempt this. 3. You need a water mount. 4. You have to ignore garrison development. 5. Guide requires 600 arch skill. 6. You need to be in a guild that has unlocked all guild banners. Its a really cool thing but doesn't translate over to botting, at all imo.
What tom said. Is it an interesting guide for speedleveling? Definitely. For botting I don't really see any practical application for it though. The amount of conditions that have to be set up for this to work make it less efficient than just using HB to quest or grind to 100, because reaching each skillset and obtaining the proper gear to speedrun take far more time than a simple questing profile from 90-100 like kick's. HB takes several seconds per step of a quest hand in, and doesn't always grind every mob in the area while elvine just wants to get it done as fast as possible and even uses addons to shave seconds off of quest hand ins. Cool? Yes. Is it worth making a profile for this that actually allows you to save time leveling? doubtful
For people like me who quest to 100 on their main account using HB this would be insane to have as a profile.
But if you have a bot to automate gameplay anyway what's the difference between doing it in 7 hours (optimistic estimate, seeing as HB takes far more time doing.. things than doing this by hand) and 11 hours using a profile? I'm willing to look into this if it's actually worth it, I just dont see how HB could be of any practical use here looking at all the conditions that have to be met for it to save any real time. Apart from a profile that sticks to the conditions that elvine sets you need a very well configured combat routine, skip on all loot other than that gained from quest mobs, and the list of things that tom posted above. Elvine uses so many small optimizations like not looting, repairing/selling while running to the next quest hub, auto quest handins that it actually adds up. HB has none of these optimizations, and there's a lot of points of failure in elvine's methodology like killing elites that may or may not be up, potential clipping issues with treasures as well as other points of failure that the amount of babysitting it would need starts to outweigh the amount of time gained. At least that's my view. If anyone would really love to see his run as a profile I can give it a go, but I have doubts that it will save as much time as it did in elvine's case
It wouldn't require the high item level due to you not going for the rare mobs. I did this on a boosted 90 without any help from my other characters, so no heirlooms, no archeology. While it wasn't as fast as the times they reached it was still the fastest method going for just treasures, bonus objectives and the outpost quest. When I say a profile matching this guide I mean loosely (like a framework) I don't mean match the speeds, but the basic route would still be faster than the current levelling profiles. In terms of botting I like speed as I do not bot 24/7 I am sure many other people feel the same way. They are the reasons why I believe this will still be useful for many people. I can see what you're saying but I think that is just identifying the people that would not use it when there are people that would. Personally it's a profile I'd happily pay for, I'm certain others would do, I simply don't have the time to create it myself. That is why I requested it. Also just to clarify I am fully aware it will not match elvines speeds, but it will definitely beat the speed of the current levelling profiles we have available at the moment as they just follow the quest line and go for the achievements. People will pay to save time, they always have done.
I won't be able to get started on this for a couple of days due to exams and RL time constraints, but I'll try to get a profile up to check this out. Building on rabbit's work it's a starting point so I have something to build on Will keep you posted.
