Guys, Could I ask u for something similar?
I'm going for the Insane title but, I want the exalted status with the bloodsails too, so...
Is it true that NOW, with cataclysm, u can raise your rep with bloodsails to exalted also killing guards into booty bay?

 

Stupid... You should have re-gained your Cartel rep without touching Booty Bay (as that is the only place that will make you loose rep with the pirates).
And yes - you do have to have them at the same time (though you don't need Bloodsail at exalted - just honored).

 

Wasn't even thinking about the insane title at the time. Did bloodsail with a few friends ages and ages ago and then I read this posting about Insane and thought, Oh damn... : )

you do NOT need to have all of the factions exalted at the same time, blizzard nerfed that achievement a LONG time ago and then again with the removal of certain reps.

google it, do some research if you dont believe me, I trashed my bloodsail rep once i got to honored and yep still got "the Insane"

 

Yea, I have been searching online for more info. Of course, like everything else on the internet, everything conflicts. Some say they got the acheivement even though they had lost the bloodsail rep and that only doing the grind once was enough to record it as part of the acheive. Others post that they had to regrind the rep to get the acheive.. Blizz is just as confusing as there posts seem to counter one another. Hmm, I will look around a bit more then may just try for it despite my loss of Bloodsail rep and see what happens. : )

 

There have been multiple blue posters conflicting in their promises. And with a bot, it doesn't take too long to get up SWC rep again, so why take the risk?

 

I turned in cloth until neutral then grinded stv mobs until i got exalted with ratchet (i chose to turn in my cloth to ratchet so i got more rep with them) then I went to ratchet and grinded the other 3 goblins to exalted by killing pirates there. This was all prior to patch 4.0 though

 

As GameR said, so many conflicting posts all over the place. Now since this is a title I am getting on my main account, I will not be botting. I just dont want to take the risk. However, I have never did mind a bit of a grind for a good acheive : ) I just submited a ticket on my main asking for clarification on the off chance they may give me a straight answer. I will post the results when they arrive. If the answer is not satisfactory, I may just grab some guildies and go down and rip up Booty Bay for a while to get my rep back to honored with Bloodsail, just to be on the safe side. I dont mind the full grind with all the factions for the acheive once, but to do it and to not get the acheive because of the Bloddsail rep would be a bit of a disapointment.

Okay, so im pretty much done with Gadget, so another profile is incomming for the other rep factors.

 

While you're already honored with Bloodsail and hated with Booty Bay, you might consider getting the "Bloodsail Admiral" title as well. I mean, since you already have the required reps and it won't hurt the rep any more than it already has, why not get an extra title and a cool pirate hat/outfit out of it?

 

I have just received word from my ticket ingame that Bloodail rep, once you hit honored, will count towards the acheive even if you loose it later on due to turn-ins and such! Makes me happy since I lost all mine due to cloth turn ins not even thinking about this title. Call me a worry-wart but I just wanted something in writing from them before I go and do the rest of it.

 

how the hell do you get bloodsail rep as of cataclysm? when I went to booty bay to kill the guards which are 85 now they one shotted me.... how do i do this

@Malice211 GM's always answer me differently, i sometimes get the answer: "The "Insane in the membrane" FOS is no longer in the game" u personally do not trust them.

 

You are correct sir! In fact, I actually opened a second ticket to get confirmation because I noted in the first reply that the GM was still including Shen'dralar rep as a requirement. My second GM reply also confirmed that I only had to get Bloodsail to honored and that would count towards the acheivement because it is not possible to have both Bloodsail and the Cartel rep at the same time! This really peaked my interest because it is simply not true! It is much harder now with Cata but not impossible. So I opened yet a third ticket and was able to have a delightful chat with a GM ingame. Now it gets interesting.

After going over the acheivement with the 3rd GM, I was told that the acheivement does require you to have Honored rep with Bloodsail at the same time as you have exalted with the rest of the factions. Shen'dralar has been removed and is not a requirement anymore but from all the notes that he had on the acheivement you cannot trash your Bloodsail while raising rep with the goblins so the cloth turn in thing is out. Again, this is the information that they had concerning the acheivement and they believed the information to be up to date. They also apologized for any misinformation I may have received in my original ticket replies.

Now as Klovnene said, it appears you get a different answer from almost every GM you discuss the situation with. I for one am going to re-grind my Bloodsail rep back to Honored for two reasons. So I can say I have it and to be certain that I will get the acheive. I am not going to take any chances. I would rather spend a few extra hours regrinding my Bloodsail back to honored than to grind everything else to exalted, not get the acheivement, and then have to do Bloodsail and loose half my exalted reps in the process. Simply not worth the risk.

 

Guys, I've opened a ticket too, 4days ago, but no GM already answer me. I've made the same as Malice question, and I asked them also if is it true that with cata I can raise my bloodsails rep to exalted only with booty bay guards.
Somebody of u know something about this?

That is still the way you do it, though it is just much harder now - considering you need to be a rather well-geared 85.
