Here's what I did to jump start once I was level 50:

      - Gather stuff with the bot and sell it. Make 6M or so gil.
      - Buy the ilvl 110 gear for your class with that gil.
      - Finish your story quests, and start the relic quest. This will take you a long while.
      - Start advancing on the endgame raiding.

You can also get ilv 100/120 gear really easy by just going through the main story line, World of Darkness is no longer a weekly lockout so that gives ilv120 left side, and poetics 120/130 right side, won't take long, but botting for the money is still a good idea, eventually you could end up with so much money you don't know what to do with.

The easiest way to make money is get a gather to level 50 with a 1-50 quest profile then use one of the profiles to gather and sell on the market board. Look at current profiles and what the items sell for, then set the course based off that. Shards and Crystals are usually a pretty safe bet to make some gil. For ilvl, I just bought ilvl 70 and played through the dungeons and advanced from there.

Retainers store your items and sell your items on the market board, I believe about 48 hours. I am not sure how well the Retainer Ventures work, I have never tried them.

I seen people using the grinding profile go 1-50 in a couple days.
