I thought I was the profiles, So ive tired paid ones and free ones... Cant get a single profile to last more then 20 mins with out stalling on a herb, or just stopping for no reason.. ive looked at the logs, and it just says either moving to hotspot. or gathering herb. Ive tried clean installs no CR for my druid.. It just sucks.. Back in MOP I ran my bot for days on end and it never froze ?
we appreciate your complaint but you still need to do your part to help solve the problem. please post a relevant log and some information about what, when , where, why. myself, i ran gatherbuddy 9 hours last night in northrend on a ret pally, with singular. ran flawlessly and i have more herbs than i can sell in a week. you may want to try a different class, profile, zone, before you post vague complaints with no supporting documents. edit--and for future posts, any post with WTF in the title is against the forum rules. just a heads up.
Problem seems to be only happening in Draenor AFAIK, did not have time to post a log into support, maybe you can try posting your log into support
Thanks, Ive been using HB for many years now, Supporting HB users for many years via teamviewer/Skype and developing for other bots, I know when a log is useful and when its not.. This was more off a feeler post to see if every one was having issue with Draenor (as it appears they are) or its something I need to bother to look into... and they post has answered my questions perfect... GB2 and draenor has issue major issues, ones that are out of my control, So I wont waste anymore time trying to resolve a issue that cant be fixed Thanks for the heads up with WTF- didn't know this..its late ive eaten to much coffee..
Great thanks, Yes it appears GB2 and Draenor need some attention... Ive managed to control the issues a bit by forcing no mount and using a plugin to reset the profile every 30mins.. getting pretty good results with this.
have you tried transferring the hotspots to a grind profile? there was a post a couple days ago with this suggestion. not sure if it worked or not. it would be interesting to hear from someone who tries it.
Ok, great I will try this, I will only be able to do it with the free profiles I have, as I do not have access to the profiles on paid profiles due to the way the store works, the profiles a stored in a encrypted folder
If you're referring to my post, then yes, it does work. However, I did not just copy hotspots from a GB2 profile to a grinding profile. I actually ran around the zones laying out the hotspots in a path pattern so I would run a big loop through the zones gathering any herb or mining nodes close by, but without being pulled into any dense pockets of mobs or elites. It's possible you could just copy over the hotspots from a GB2 profile to a grind, but without knowing where those hotspots are you might find your gatherer being pulled into some bad spots.
So do we actually know what is wrong with the zone atm ? why can all the other bot bases pickup ore and herbs with out a glitch- but GB2 cant run for longer then 20mins with out bugging out ? (in WOD)
you can post your plugin if you would like. the plugin must not be an .exe or obfuscated code. you can zip your plugin if its too big to post otherwise. remember to make a new post when you upload your plugin so it can be indexed and placed in the right forum section. im sure a lot of people would appreciate your contribution to the community. gindbot is a simpler botbase designed for ground mounts only. while gatherbuddy is written to give us many more features. i cant begin to guess why gatherbuddy isnt working but it isnt the zone if grindbot is working fine. as far as hotspots go, both botbases use the same hotspots. they are both created by running around recording the hotspots with whatever method the creator chooses. you should be able to copy the hotspots right over, as long as you trust the original creator to not run you into elites.
yes. 1--download the text editor of your choice. i like notepad++. it is a full featured text editor that allows you to read/write in many language formats. 2--open both the source gatherbuddy profile and a blank grindbot profile. 3--get familiar with the two files and note the differences between the two. 4--if you haven't figured it out by step 4, go back and read step 3. protip--copy paste works with notepad++ exactly like you would expect in windows. i wanted to address this statement. id like to back up my suggestion on posting logs. the content of a log is much more comprehensive than it used to be. logs now contain information on ingame addons. it is a well known fact that addons and other software can interfere with HB's operations. i realize its unlikely that every single person who is having issues is using the same addon/s but hey, we don't know if we don't post logs. it may be something to think about. and a second edit--im thinking there shouldnt be anything to stop you from running a gatherbuddy profile with grindbot. if i get bored in a bit, i think ill try it and reply here. third edit--tried running a gatherbuddy profile with grindbot. i didnt have any errors pop up in the first 3 minutes, so looks like you may be able to just run existing draenor gatherbuddy profiles with grindbot. any devs feel free to help us out with any reasons why we shouldnt.
This is a well known issue. Ive reported it at least 5x There are at least 10 other forum posts on this. The bottom line is they cant fix it. Soon there gonna delete this thread just like they delete my last 2 on the issue. With a random excuse like "you didnt post a log so we wont fix the issue". Longest ive manage to run was with a scheduled relog like every 30 min. relog restart relog restart... Considering this "minor bug" and the fact they screwed me over with the buddy store that i cant access i currently "love honorbuddy and its awesome support"
i cant imagine posting someone elses logs would be very helpful. and if i may say so, your attitude is full of win. there is a list of things to do for new releases, you should check there to see if anyone is currently working on the issue.
