Yes we do, but votes tells us what you want, and we take it into consideration in our time/complexity/value calculations.
So, despite other bot bases, including GarrisonBoss, Garrisonbuddy and a host of others manage to vendor stuff, you choose to ignore that a whole lot of people don't have a working version of Butler, and saying that is fine because you can blame it on Bosslands/HB core? Your attitude really stinks at times. If you sell a product that is defunct, and you're too lazy to fix it, you should stop selling it until it's working. That also means doing workarounds, as long as it is possible, if that's the only way to fix it. It doesn't matter if your product costs .1 euro or 1000, it's a matter of principle when you market a product that is supposed to do something and sell it as such. It all just boils down to one of: 1. That you took on a task that is way more than you can handle with your programing experience/skill. 2. You really don't bother fixing stuff at all, and just talk to keep people going. 3. HB isn't suitable to build the product you're wanting/selling. In either of those cases, you should stop selling your product. If none of those are the case, you should get your act together and fix the problems, and if you can't fix it, communicate clearly why you can't fix it and and what people should expect is being done or not about it. If there's a problem with HB that you cannot circumvent, you need to communicate that, so people can put the pressure on Bossland to fix it. A lot of people in this thread do complain about things because they like your product and want it fixed, but are getting frustrated from lack of communication and progress on basic issues. You should take the fact that someone bothers as a positive sign, because generally people just won't bother saying anything and just move on to something else and you never get return business or adorsements.
it used to do the full garrison clear no probs..prof dailies, collecting and refilling work orders, and mailing the mats to my alts, but now all it does is clear mine and spam Gorsol for the mine's work orders....very aggravating that a product I PAID FOR has been broken this long with no fixes/responses from developer.....
I cant get the config to load. I click bot config and it just sits there saying garrisonbutler is loading... forever. Anyone know how to fix that?
you need internet explorer 11, but if thats the problem there should be an error message (script error ...)
Hey guys, Bot isn't looting dead mobs anymore - must've missed days of unlooted mobs until I noticed this ... sucks
I´ve deactivated this Botbase since 2 Weeks. If I could get a refund after all the weeks, this would make me happy. The "free" Bot delivered with HB itself, works 1000 times better. Though not all features are implemented. Got many problems since day one, of my purchase. No hope at all, that this Base will ever work without problems.
Hi, Vendoring works but not for everybody, so before pushing everyone to yell at bossland I prefer to check if there's something that can be done. Personally I encountered the problem once and wasn't even able to reproduce it, so I work on the few logs I got from here and the beta. Comparing botbase code is irrelevant since you have no idea how the engines behind work. Butler was taking care of everything on it's own, overriding honorbuddy on nearly every point to ensure a good experience in the garrison. Now the HB ream introduced their own bot, fucked up the butler, fixed it, then they introduced a new navigation system and highly encouraged us to switch to it, so we did, and it fucked up more than the navigation for our engine. So we had to rewrite a big part of the core again to ensure the compatibility, and well that's where we are. Now there's even more things happening behind the curtain these days on the store that we don't have the right to address publicly yet. We are also waiting for HB fixes which I got told about yesterday, fixes which should bring back some features to a working state like the selling part. 1,2 and 3 are false. We are working on it and trying to fix things asap and then push new features, nothing else to say. That's what we've always done and we will keep doing it.
Hi, I prefer to warn you, I feel like using sarcasm today. If you don't like that, don't read the following message. So I've bought a car a few weeks ago to go to work. I had a week to try it and still decided to take it even though there was some issues, but hey that was doing the job and cheaper than the other choices. Now my city just started those free buses which are even better cause they built this super special lanes for them which allow the buses to be faster, completely integrated etc. Well I'm gonna ask to the manufacturer of my car to reimburse me... Of course! Anyway, it's not possible. Sorry you have such a bad experience with it. Hopefully one of the feature in the future will bring you back with a smile.
There is no error message. It simply sits there saying loading the whole time. I have double checked and I have IE 11. It used to load the config and one day it just stopped. Anyone have any ideas here?
There is clearly something that can be done, because all other bot bases I've got is doing it. This vendoring problem is unique to Butler, which means that even if HB is broken using "lazy" vendoring calls, everyone else must have considered it serious matter and took the time to write workarounds. If you think that a bunch of users not being able to run the bot because of this issue isn't worthwhile a temporary fix, then that's on you. I can guarantee that for everyone complaining about it here, it's probably 10-100 fold users that just moves on without saying anything. Similarly for the looting of mobs in the mine/garden. Works with all other bot bases. Did Bosslands break something? Maybe. Did other fix it already? Within 2-3 days, yes. So you complain that you will have to override HB to make a better/working vendoring routine in your previous post, and now you say it's already overridden? Maybe your override is broken then. And comparing bot bases is relevant for the fact that it's possible to make it work, even for bot bases that is not made by Bossland. Also, I did look at the original GarrisonBuddy code a whole lot and did a bunch of mods to it to make it work for me, the first time ICE broke. 15 years of software development and QA work does give me an idea about stuff. It's very unfortunate when something in the API changes, but I'm sure you got some notice upfront. I have a hard time believing Bosslands just wants to screw over that many of their customers by silently breaking products they are selling in their store and which they make money from. If I'm wrong on this, that's clearly horrid of Bosslands. But meanwhile, a lot of users like myself have moved on to other bases, like GBoss and even the bundled one because they can't really be bothered with blame games and unresponsiveness when something clearly is fixable. It's part of being a developer. Sometimes things break because of others and you need to work around it to fulfill your own commitment to your own customers. As of right now, even if Butler would work, I realized that GBoss no longer lack a single feature of Butler, which made me stay with Butler before. And it runs flawlessly without any of the current issues of Butler. Last time I looked at it it was quite a bit behind Butler, but with Butler more or less appearing to be abandonware, I am done with it. Then you have a lot of work to do. Better get your ass moving instead of blowing hot air.
I know it can be hard to get QA time to test everything, but this botbase pretty much always has something broken at any given time. Now it just seems to hang when starting up. I have to kill Honorbuddy, then restart about 50% of the time. Does not move to harvest mine. When I untick "Mine" under General Options, everything else runs. It worked yesterday on the same char, cleaning cache did not help. It works on other chars, but not this one. EDIT: Found the problem, bot can't navigate to ore node behind the stairs. HB problem, not GarrisonButler problem.
