Hi my name is Razer I decided to take my precious time to write my success with HonorBuddy So ive been a botter ever since the Glider days I quit just before the massive banwave that destroyed Glider while blizzard also got a mass hit in sub lose. After a year or so my friends showed me this PVP Bot ( I forgot what it was called) something with"P" anyway started playing again using that while my whole guild had it also one day BAM! temp ban on old main account while friends got Perm Ban. Maybe blizzard looked at their hours or reports. (who knows) But from the two big banwaves blizzard did they lost a lot of subs even legit players who hated grinding BC Battlegrounds. Blizzard learned from this and my opinion we will never see such a great banwave again as it destroys the econemy in wow and also the sub count. (games are all about numbers) So after a while I stopped botted and starting to dual box loved it so much my teams got bigger and bigger and bigger after RAF expired I would make more accounts level them up again manually I did this for a long time until I met the great HonorBuddy. So what I did was mass buy HB keys for all my accounts and turned on Dungeon Buddy I only used Dungeon Buddy and Combat Bot for 2 years of HB, I dont like the thought of fighting for materials with other botters or players in the open world. (things have higher risk then others) Along with BG Bot just look at BGS now its 90% bots even one time it was bots vs bots Its on Youtube So my personal goal was to have every single character to the max level x50 with WOD I have done it. How did I do it? I quested I did dungeons that was it. I was only afk for about 10% of the time always next to my botters while working on the stocks on aother screen. So how come your ban rate is slow low? Easy I have never set times for my bots to start, it was more so when I felt like it and when I was awake, I mean you can go afk for 20 mins or a hour but if I did so I always had a notiforcation if my guy was idle or someone whispered me. ( You dont want to be running into a wall for 4 hours while 5 - 10 other people watch you) Profiles and stuff that say 100% afk they will and do mess up its just a matter of when. I botted around 4 - 16 hours a day Questing or Dungeon Farming I never set a time such as 6am bots start then shutdown at 8pm every single day for years no. You really have to keep things random just like as if a player was sick or went on holiday ect. For me I never botted to make mass amounts of gold, I do have a lot but not as much as mass bot farms my goal with botting was to make my life and my friends lives easier in WoW and I was able to do that with HonorBuddy. What was my success 50 level 100's over 10 active accounts 15 inactive which are now active thanks to Gold for Game time along with a good amount of Gold so my friends and I can use it when needed. Thanks Honor Buddy Team P.S To the rest of you haters, please keep on hating.
Nice story mate ! I also share some of this experience with you, my experience with HB have been great, I only had two temp bans when I botted like a robot if you know what a mean, after I changed my way to bot it was all good ^^
That sounds like it could be a really cool way to have raid-ready (needed) classes on stand-by if a raid was short handed. Like if you had too many DPS show up, but one of them would be willing to tank, but just didn't have the character of gear for it. This 1,000 times. This is why I think quest botters get banned. It happens enough, and I've noticed it while having only botted for less than a month. (I'm still on my free 1 month trial, but my first token is bought). I'll run my quest robot, and watch him. Sometimes he'll get stuck, and sometimes he'll get stuck while there's another person already stuck there! I've already caught a dozen or so other robots while watching my robot run profiles. And while I'm nice to my community that I would never report another botter, because of karma or whatever. I would never fully trust the entire botting community to let me slide if I was caught. There's a lot of douche-bags out there, and you should never simply trust that they won't report you. And no one knows how to spot a botter like another botter. I haven't looked into making a lot of gold, but I noticed that bringing up a character from 1 to 100 nets about 20,000ish, so I could use that to pay per month without ever having to farm materials. Though I've been looking at making some custom profiles (new, and learning) that would have me farm in areas that are not heavily trafficked. I think having a low profile goes a long way into keeping one's account safe, and it's nice to see some success stories about suvival rather than "I made a lot of gold in a short time, but then I got banned, but I made X gold!" A lot of people bot for reasons that aren't simply "get as much gold as possible," and it's nice to see some of their stories.
this goes to show that people have different definitions of success. Razors success is much like my own these days. i bot out of habit, it fills my day, i blow all my gold on boes or give it away. for me its the automation that gives me pleasure. for a year in cata i ran the AH legit, it was massively time consuming and missing a day at the keyboard cost me 50k. if i missed my chinese connection, might cost me a couple hundred thousand gold. i was the only one on the server who had that much gold on hand to deal in bulk with the botters. to be able to sit back and watch the math run my operation gets me wet. and that is success to me.
I just started botting again because gold can now buy gametime, I love it I knew I could not (or at least i don't know how to) make money anymore with WOD so the fact that my bots can now buy their own gametime without selling gold to a third party makes me really happy I got to say that I really loved the fact that on MOP the professions worked perfectly together and I could get one bot farming, one cutting gems, the other one milling, ... I loved it ! Now that I jumped into MOP and leveled my toons with Kicks profiles i am lost ^^
Awesome story! The amount of herbs/ore/GR you get each day must be crazy!!! I'm just starting do make my "project 11" as I'm calling it. How long did it take you to get each of your accounts to 11 100's out of curiosity?
i know for myself, there wasnt a day that went by that i didnt have 1000+ stacks of everything in my mailbox. it just never stopped. i knew my suppliers so well, id give them 10k and tell them to keep mailing me ore and shoot me a whisper when they needed more gold. that way i didnt have to empty my mailbox every single day so i didnt lose cod's. botters loved me for paying up front and i cant remember a time when a botter just disappeared and didnt deliver. ofc that was back when you could run gb2 for weeks at a time with no issues.
To get 11 100's I think it was like a week and abit so then you times that by 10 accounts 55 level 100's but I only got 50 rest are sitting at 96+ just havent turned Quest bot on. All done with kicks also but before I used Dungeon Buddy with RAF to get them all to 90 now days all you need to do is RAF to 85 then use kicks from 85 to 100 It takes 4 or so hours to get to 90 with full set of heirlooms then a day and abit from 90-100. As for the herbs/ore's I remember back in the day I would run Grinding Bot for ages in the same spot in BC farming them token things for rep and making a killing on the AH but now outside is way to busy, with 50 level 100's I still get a killing just herbing/mining them. At the moment saving up for Tier 3 Garrisons 5k x 50 needing 250k gold + Tier 3 buildings. Making about 15k for about 6-7 hours farming dungeons but havent sold anything yet stocking up. Waiting for the latest update of RaidHelper will help a long without me having to switch sessions when I need to dienchant/mission hand ins.
