im over on HB forum now. ive run HB for some years. i even rushed out and bought another set of wow keys after my accounts got stomped today. in the meantime, i started a 14day trial for ff14. the next two weeks should give me enough time to see if i want to play. one factor will be the bot community here do the devs of RB communicate with HB devs? are the the same people? i ask because i respect the devs of HB and would like to meet more of the same is the development for RB similar to HB? is community helpful with profiles? im not asking for someones secret profiles, but are public profiles available? is the community helpful when questions are asked? any other complaints or good things anyone want to add?
1. The core developer of RB is Mastahg, not the core developers of HB. There seems to be collaboration with other devs in some things, like the reverse engineering of the mesh and such; so I'd guess there's easy communication between them. 2. There is no store in RB, so you won't find the amount of products that HB has. Community devs do make stuff for it though, but overall it's not as feature rich as HB. 3. The community is fairly helpful as a whole from my own experience.
Another thing to remember is that it is ONLY Mastahg as the developer for this bot. There are no other developers actively working on RB. While it seems that Mastahg is being more reasonable in the last couple days, this post sums up the relationship between him and the community developers: https://www.thebuddyforum.com/rebornbuddy-forum/214670-rant-am-passionate.html The next biggest problem you will see with RB compared to HB is the lack of Combat Routines. I believe that there is only a single routine that is currently being worked on/supported. It is an All-In-One so it should get you leveled on any class. The built in Combat Routine (Kupo) is still severely lacking. Do NOT expect it to work as well as Singular does for HB.
eek, are profiles as easy to make for this as it is for hb? and i remember mastahg from when i first started with HB. thats been a few years ago. i appreciate the input. still working on learning ff14. i sure miss all those years of wow knowledge. i can help the wife with wow quests from across the room without seeing her screen or google. starting with a fresh game is daunting.
Well, we are definitely here for you, any questions or concerns that you have you can shoot to me, or the majority of players here until you get the hang of it and beyond. Welcome! Also, take a look at this thread: it should help you out for getting started! https://www.thebuddyforum.com/reborn...-tutorial.html
After getting tired of wow I decided to start looking for another mmo, one which I would be able to bot in. I ended up with ffxiv and rebornbuddy. So far I've been loving it and I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface of the game itself. I definitly know the feeling you have now, missing out of the 10y of experience. Orderbot, the equivalent of Questbot in HB, seems really powerful and also quite easy to use. I've made quite a few HB profiles, but most I just made for myself as they were rarely 100% afkable. Profiles here seem to work much better, even without having to add extra waypoints or blackspots. I haven't made much so far, but I'll definitly make more stuff and release it. There's not a lot of documentation, but as a community developer you'll want to check out https://www.thebuddyforum.com/rebor...r-forum/184412-rebornbuddy-documentation.html The community is a lot smaller then the one from HB, but it's friendly and helpful.
from what i read on the hb forums it seems that we may get a lot more help over here for a while until they bring hb back online and find their leak. Reborn buddy has a pretty good foundation it is just developer starved. only a single main dev makes it hard for features to come out in mass. but if we get an influx in community developer base and more people capable of making profiles things could change quite a bit. Overall things are pretty shiny. had a small issue a couple days ago with a surprise update that phased something out that broke a lot of plugins but updates were made and we seem to be beyond it.
Mastahg is concerned with functionality and content. He is good for this community. Most of the community devs are concerned with the same, and are willing to work as a team with Mastahg in order to make Rebornbuddy a great success. A few of the community devs seem to be more concerned with their own pride and even more concerned about donations. Those few are easily irritated and extremely rude in their complaints. If your experience is like mine, then you will learn to love and support some of these guys while ignoring others.
