I'm normally a very careful person and like to do everything by perfection. But today I really learned a lesson!

I got "scammed" for 70k gold.. I didn't check the guys email adress, his nick was as the real mail adress should be. So I though he was legit. I recently just got into selling gold and found a site which I really like. I don't get payed to much tho but I think it's alright :). But recently their prices has been really low so I looked for another one - just for a quick sale.. Also I had my gf comming over so I was in a hurry.. Just wish I would have done the sale after she went home instead! Then I would probably would have noticed the fake email.

I quess I got to exicited and wanted those money on my paypal account so I could start lvling my third moneymaker! And now my gbank holds 70k less :)!

Lesson learned! Patience is the key for me! And selling off 70k just like that to a site I really didn't trust from the first place. Did some research and some said they scammed and some say they didn't.. Mostly 1 year old reviews.

I quess almost everyone have done some mistakes, please share!

(English ain't my native language, sorry for the grammar..)

its always best to google someone's email before you deal with them (if you don't personally know them). When I sell gold to some random person i'll sell them 1k at first and then if they don't take it back, i'll sell more a week later. If they say no deal, then they are prob a scammer

oh, and you can put "scammers" up here afaik its not against the rules (I have a really old thread about some)

Well, it wasn't the site it self. Just a random person faking their email.

Got scammed by the email: mmoflyeuservce@hotmail.com
Site is: Sell WOW Gold, WOW Gold trade, World of Warcraft items for sale on mmofly.com

No idea how he got hold of my email... Cus he added me aswell..

I did that later and didn't get any hits. Just from the site. I thought of selling him 5k first. But then I thought "well, if he pays me for the first 5k then he think I will think he's legit and then scam me when I try to sell him more". Dunno why I reasoned like this.. But like I said, I was so exicted and I really, really wanted to sell off that gold!

EDIT: Please remove the links if it's against the rules.
