other 32b bots are still running.

those botters were dealt with months ago. you will hardly find anyone running dungeons anymore. not like they were. and with honorbuddys death support for dungoens broken, i can imagine that may have been planned to keep some of the heat off them. wouldnt blame them if it was true. all the massive threads about dungeon runners in the past 3 months have been dumbshits jumping on the bandwagon, 'because they just now watched the video and had to run to the forums to join in'.

cant camp what isnt there. ive sat outside more than a few dungeons on illidan, and there is no one there. no one. id do /who checks every couple hours, id see maybe 1-2 people in a weeks time.

somehow i just believe everything this guy said. how do you blame blizzard for making a game you hate so much that you are forced to bot? why not just quit...

oh thanks for the laugh bud! :)

      Some people haha

edit: I'd be let down... and many routine makers would be ass out... but disabling honorbuddy in arenas would be a good move in my opinion. would it be super helpful and make everyone happy? doubtful, but we don't know what would be the result until it was tried. maybe disable it completely for 1 or 2 seasons and see what the effect is?

Honestly I think they did a one time sneaky scan outside of their boundaries to get as many botters as they could.

At first I was gonna say "Go Hump yerself Camel" but thats not how I roll ..I kinda like Camel ..anyway I see how you feelbut Wow benefitted from the PVP bots as well due to the fact you could Q 24/7 and farm honor, even though you were playing by hand. I won lots of BG's before I botted but grabbing flag and staying clear of mid fighters etc...

if you live in America, then you gave them permission to search your comp when you agreed to the Terms.

in America you can voluntarily waive your right to protection against illegal search and seizure given us by the 4th amendment by giving consent. either verbal or written consent is enough to waive your protections.

I've actually read quite a few amount of people saying all they used was pvp tool and they DID NOT get banned. I myself only used Garrisonbuddy and fished a few hundred fish for achievements. I think the main thing that was attracted was the overuse of garrisonbuddy. I think pvptool is/was the least of our worries..

HB was software detected, the use of it was erelvant... If they didn't get banned it was because they where not online the days they did the scan.

I can promise you if you could get the figures of player reports 80> % of them would be in pvp.

Pvp is what brought the worlds eyes on us,and it's the reason we are all banned

The major problem with botting in pvp is not the instant kicks etc, it's the fact that you have afk people in battlegrounds now I am all for farming and routines in pvp but to draw less attention I would at least make people control movement in any pvp area that is where the majority will be noticed by a majority of other players, disable movement make people monitor their toon, during pvp events, then you will have people doing objectives not pissing off the real players. As for kicks it's not hard to cc without a bot, prior to botting I used an addon called bittens spell flash, basically my spells light up I quickly silence/kick what ever as soon as they were lit up on my action bar. I can pvp without a bot interupt fast that makes no difference bot or not, afk is the issue, for the insane amount of cc and interupts that's just blizzards bad for not thinking their game through properly, just look how much a rogue can immobilize you lmao, you can't blame a bot for that endless cc blizzard allowed rogues to be the bastards of cc.

Dude Blizzard knows about all that if they were so concerned about bg botters then why didn't they have a gm flagging and banning everyone running into walls, I can't count how many times I had a toon running into the av wall at the start or the isle of conquest wall still no ban. What they do care about is trying to generate revenue (wow token/new accounts) , Blizzard aim is to make money from this and to try and effect HB as a cheap shot for losing that court case it is as simple as that. I will lay any money that the court case they lost is why they banned people to attack Bossland. Why are people only 6 month suspended lol? does this not make it obvious enough they are trying to keep players even though they bot, but want to try an impact on HB in a negative way, they are trying scare tactics on us so we leave HB. Well their shit won't work on me I am affraid, I really really would love a 64 bit HB so I can morph in confidence lol, it's kinda to risky to run another 32 bit bot to achieve the morphs...

      - Botting really started during Cata days (or even further back then, which I wudnt know) where farming for honor gear required alot of effort. Especially when your faction side is bunch of weaksauces. Thus, I'd say, in my own humble opinion, botting took off with the existence of this inconvenience. Back then I remember I actually used a auto mouse clicker and have my toon queing BG's. Literally the mouse was "trained" to click on certain places of the game window on the BG master to que, to accept que pop and afk while in BG. Because click to move did not existed back then. So the mouse "routine" kept doing it. Woke up to have all the honor or I think they were called specific tokens like WSG tokens or what not stacked up in the morning was awesome! Profit!

      - Yes, I do agree and despise kick botters because it affects me, I'm a caster. :p

It's worst when you wanna cry about a specific group of HB users ruining it for you. You had the option of NOT using the
bot in the first place. You came into an existing environment where HB is used for BG's, if you do not like it, then stay away.

First rule of getting banned using HB, do not QQ and look for someone to blame. Instead, use this [IMG]

Actually, the people to blame are the people who do not do things in moderation. Time and time again, you see people talk about the best way not to get banned is moderation no matter what you do. Unfortunately, you see the bg's were plagued with people who were there for days on end. Not to mention the people farming dungeons or leveling toons for numerous hours without breaks. These are the things that get you noticed and the things pissing so many people off that they were making threads to complain against it. Yes, the ones that were the most public for people to see and to piss them off are the bg bots.

I also agree with the Enyo. People using Enyo in raids were not frowned upon unless they did not tweak the CR to suit the team. Actually, I know of quite a few that liked having them there. That kind of brings a few questions to me. If you remember, some people were banned for utilizing a guild bank which was populated by bots because they benefited directly from the bots. Wouldn't all of the people in the raid also be in trouble for knowing and allowing bots in their raid? Hmmm... (Not really trying to stir up trouble, but just saying Blizzard does have a slight hypocrisy issue.)

i wouldnt agree to completly desable the pvp aspekt maybe only what fully automated for bgs and let the ppl play with there enyo + CRs and adjust more things to be more human like so both would be happy

      edit:
but the problem is botting is a huge market even if Bossland desable it for BGs another bot dev would make it to get the money and there is alot of ppl would pay for the shit , so i dont think it well happen , its all about the money guys

People sure are dense. For the love of God - HB was detected. Does not matter what you were doing nor what you used it for. It was detected.

Now I will say the bg botting drew the lions share of attention and the kids that let it run 24/7 added to the problem which ultimately led to forcing blizzards hand.

      Hahaha.

Let's put this in perspective. I will do some PR for Blizzard here.
I tell you, business operation like HB & Blizzard, last thing they really wanna do is to piss any of us off. They gain nothing.

But this is the nature of doing business. Plan A + very little risk, Plan B + a bit more risk, Plan C + much higher risks.

      Plan A.
Blizzard wanna hit the root cause of the matter. They went after Bossland gmbh. You see, if they were successful in taking down Bossland, they may have not activate plan B, the banwave OR they might just give everyone a slap on the wrist for a 3-day to 7-day suspension. Afterall, they know quite well that Botters will not be able to bot anymore. Blizzard loves their clients and cherishes all the players. They do not want to demonize botters. Perhaps, they even looked at us botters as "victims" of convenience. Put it bluntly, no liquor stores no drunk driving; no HB no botters.

      Plan B & C
As you all knew, blizz lost the court case, so they now put their plan B into action.
The ban. They had to somehow hit bossland and make them hurt. By creating this banwave, they may be able to successfully reform some "casual" botters who felt that the little use of HB is a big risk to getting ban, so might as well not bot at all if they decide to keep playing the game.

Now, they do run the risk of losing some "I will only play wow if I can bot" type of players. Then again we look at the numbers. The total bans from the banwave is probably a very small percentage of their entire subscription base. Pretty sure they will have a number that they wanna hit and keep within (thus, why some your accounts were banned and some were not.) Out of that small percentage, they will recover the "reformed" players. And the players they do actually lost for good is an even smaller percentage.

However, the outcry will be big. It will appease those who frequently QQ for blizz to do something about botters. Although a small percentage got burned, this minority will be heard.

Now here comes the strategy to weigh and balance their finances. Afterall, no business can agree to a plan (no matter how principal-ed) that makes a loss. Businesses who agrees to take a loss for the sake of providing service and pleases their clients are called charity organisations. Thus, what will be their projected recovery against that small percentage who will quit for good?

      1. Release of a new mount. (small revenue bump)

      2. Most banned players, barring the few who will leave for good (who will request refunds and reverse charges which may lead to perma ban,) will either wait it out the entire 6month ban (of which their subs will still be rolling,) or buy another license. So in numbers sense, although a small percentage of players who are banned and cannot log on, money wise, it is still rolling along with yet an even smaller percentage where they will have to give the money back. Very small percentage, tiny, micro, nano. Plus, pretty sure they have some charts to analyze previous ban patterns, of how folks using the same credit card to re-purchase new accounts after getting perma banned. So this gives them some calculated risks.

Those botters who lives on making money from botting and purchasing with over 100s of Bnet accounts, I am not sure how this will work out. Without bots, this is pretty hard to do, unless there are some other bots or private stuff that allow you to keep doing what you are doing. Or, can always try to hire Chinese farmers again.

So now, they lost very little revenue, but some may argue that those people who are still in the game may lose interest and unsubscribe because of their friends are suspended.
Let's be real, those who did not bot arent gonna stop playing. They are already addicted to the game. They may still lose interest but I will address that later. What's probably gonna happen is, botters may be persuaded by their still-playing friend to just buy another friggin license, boost it to 90 or even 100 and keep playing. Chump change after all. Those who hated their botting battle.net id friends, will probably be rejoicing, so they are unlikely to leave. Then again, all these affected people are of a very small percentage of those who were banned.

Blizzard, is a decent sized corporation. Their staff isnt exactly hired to sit on their asses doing nothing. I am sure the very top of their agenda is to keep the hype of the game up.
Thus, the options, suggestions, plans of what they need to do sustain current players and to lure new players. Well the release of the next xpac coincides with most of the ban-lifts. Furthermore, there will be a movie coming out on the WOWarcraft which will pull new players in, WHICH will inadvertently pull some die-hard-quit-wow players back in as well. I am sure the die-hard-quit-wow players at that moment seeing an influx of new players, with some fresh stuff in the world of warcraft are very eager to restart their wow to show their "I started playing this game in 2002 and I am a 20yr old veteran in this game" to the noobs. It sure will stroke their ego well.

So, you see now. Lets quit bitching about the small details of who and why blizzard bans and how its gonna hurt them and how the game is gonna die.

Don't get me wrong tho, I loved the feeling of being able to get away with botting to level up alts and using CR's while in raids because I am a shitty player. So, if I could bot again, you can be damn sure I will. But now, I will learn to have multiple accounts/licenses and probably keep one leveled up and leave it dormant and only used on my tablet pc. Kinda like a safe deposit in case of emergency. While I will use 2 separate license to continue abuse the TOS/EULA of the game. So, am now anxiously waiting for a stealth mode HB to reappear. willing to pay for a new generation HB as well.

All-above are of my own opinion. I do not speak for others. and when I mention anything that seemed like I am quoting them with a valid/concrete source, is of pure speculation and theoretical only. So please, take my rant with a pinch of salt.
