0/4 Banned. Logic where? Gathering info.

Hi HB community.

I'm here just to share my experience on the whole ban wave, what i might have done different compared to others etc.
I started out botting using glider. I've ran my main account in Feralas for hours straight in a 20 square meter spot. That sort of stuff.

When honorbuddy came out, my real life friends already knew i could bot, so they wanted to get onboard, without putting in the work.
Over the course of the time that honorbuddy has been around, i have leveled many characters, geared them up in pvp gear on FOUR different accounts.
All accounts i botted we're main accounts. One being mine, three belonging to people i actually know.

On two of four accounts i leveled 3/4 chars to 90, geared them in pvp , leveled them to 100 , geared them in PVP.
On the other two, i did the occasional night of honor farming for when they we're fed up with losing battleground.
On my own main ( one of the two that got leveled using a bot ) i would farm Ashran for 8 hours staight , like 5 days a week, for a couple of weeks, just to get some spare gold.

Things i NEVER did:

Run the bot without being around.
Run the bot with a BETA version of HB.
Run the bot right after game patches.
Run the bot against advice of HB developers.
Had Battle.net client open while botting. I would ALWAYS launch using the honorbuddy launcher.

Other players did whisper me from time to time saying they reported me for botting after doing some extensive Ashran farming.

Zero out of Four accounts banned.

Im in IT, always been a huge computer nerd, and i would take extra actions to make sure i would bot in a safe way, but never would i have been able to avoid any ram/cpu monitoring.

If anyone could clarify, how could this be luck? All accounts are on different names, payed for with different bank accounts, have a huge difference in game activity. Some pvp, some raid, one has tons of chars, one has only a single main. The only thing the accounts share is being from the same country. The Netherlands EU. Out of all accounts, only mine has not been active for a couple of weeks. The others are still subscribed.

Will keep this post updated when anything changes, i was just hoping to see if anyone is in the same boat. The boat where you are dazzled by not being banned after actively botting for YEARS.

Anyone else from the Netherlands that DID get banned?

Random similarities to other NON banned people in this thread:

Never used gatherbuddy.
Never used Garrison bot related stuff.

this is why i think this banwave isnt because of a patch or a 7 day warden scan.

this data is collected over months. and as i said before : gms stated allr in chats that they observe, learn and collect data when they spot a bot.

he also said, just cause you dont see nothing doesnt mean nothing is done. banning a few now will alert the community.

so this data collection has been going for months.

 

I have people whisper me saying they reported me and everything. I just cant place not being banned.
Would it be an extreme case of luck where all 4 accounts never had any logging done what-so-ever?

 

maybe the bans come in chunks. could be the first wave is not over yet, or a 2nd one is coming. we never know.

 

I've been inactive for about 2 months but mine was not banned. I use to bot a good 16 hours of the day for a good year. So really no idea what it was that triggered it. I never use gatherbuddy, though you see people who say all they did was use combat routines only and were banned.

 

True that. If bans are coming for me and my friends, i will update the post. For who-ever would care.

 

i think a lot would benefit from posting that info, so plz do that!

No gatherbuddy here either.
Im just trying to figure out what sort of Area51 ram my PC has if this banwave is software detection related. Why didnt it detect 4 Honorbuddy clients running on 4 different wow accounts in my case.

But like webhond said; We might go under in wave two.

 

I have been inactive for about close to a month and no bans so far. I stopped playing maybe a week or two after the tokens came out.

I used CRs without movement, fishing, and a small amount of quest bot. I was online for the tripwire previously, and used the bot pretty much all the time for a long time after 6.1 came out.

I did not use any sort of garrison bot.

I Have bots, that botted all the way up to 4/25 then i just stopped botting.
They botted to level 100 hours straight did the garrisonboss everyday.

I got bored of logging so stopped botting those toons on 4/25

The only accounts i botted after that date are banned.

When i botted they all did the exact same things nothing different.
So i don't think your logic is correct.

 

There is no logic to be found. I'm puzzled why a software detection / ram monitor would not have banned any of our accounts.

But razer naga macro's are not good enough to replace botting to me..
