Ok so after reading some posts both on this website and on ownedcore.com it sees that people think BLIZZARD
brought forth this banwave because of bots in PVP.

Now i agree that this is what it looks like seeing a bunch of posts on the wow forums about pvp bots u would think that BLIZZARD
would react but they never cared, and will never care. I noticed myself that since the day wow token got released gold selling was extremely risky

,on the first try of selling gold i was getting banned instantly. Now this combined with their bans in dungeon farmers for months now
, can only tell us that they are getting rid of botters because they make too much gold. They never cared if we farm honor or some shit.

They would yes through out an occasional ban if they were getting loads of reports about a player but nothing more than that .

Its simple BLIZZARD released the token, which means get rid of botters asap so i can sell gold only. 90% of people that sell gold are botters.

Anyway i just wanted to make this post because i cant believe that there are retards out there thinking its because of the pvp bots cough cough , thread below mine.

Well. i sold a ton of gold over the years (i really did) - botted a lot in raids and what not... guess what? I am still online, account is untouched.
I never botted in BG's because it was too obvious - i also wrote a guide years ago how to not get reported and told the people not to bot in BG and PVP - the best guess is indeed that it was the PvP Botters who got banned.
Blizz didnt even need any new fancy detection tech, just look and write down the names - really easy to spot a bot in BG.

I'd like to know if there are others which didnt get banned and would like to ask them if they ever botted in BG/PVP - i bet they didnt.

I was banned on account, that never touched BG and which was used only for CR raiding and on which I leveled 2 alts by kicks questing profile.

So accounts were probably banned due to detection of HB or detection of questing bots.

Blablabla I have 4 posts and I'm such Genius blablabla. You got banned, deal with it. it's part of the "botting game". Everyone expect to be "safe" when botting but no, you're safe as long as the hammer don't crush your expectations... That's not because 100 peeps will say "hey it's because of the BG bot" that anything will change, you're cheating, hide yourself as much as you can.

If there was a detection, why did they spare me then? I dont get it.

HELLO BLIZZARD, I DEMAND A BAN.... NOW! I CONFESS; I BOTTED AND SOLD GOLD... A LOT.

Okay, i had a 5 month break since i botted the last time, came back roughly 1 month ago but botted "lightly" (just rota) - the detection must have been in this 4 month (December - March) timeframe, maybe one version wasnt save? I dont know.
But BG Botters are still evil ...

Detection was for sure in April/May probably only in May.

Ps. When I say detection, it is not only software detection on client side aka Detection of running HB, but also any kind of server side detection.

Is this why you haven't released that plugin yet? Too busy trolling the wow finger-pointers? Kappa

How many exiles you lost so far? Learn very quickly not to use main account if you're not prepared to lose it, as it's not a matter of if but when.

This is what im saying. Why now ? Its only logical to assume that after the launch of WoW token blizzard wants botters out , they never cared before cz we were paying subscriptions. now blizzard is like no fucks given i make them from wow token

This banwave is probably not related to tokens in any way. Botting just became to casual so Blizz stopped tolerating it.

Never botted any type of pvp, and I got banned after the token release. I'm sure they've had detection for some time but now that Blizzard is effectively selling gold they had to get rid of the competition.

The reason we got banned is because we were violating the ToS. It's that simple. There's obviously several things that got us caught, all of them involved using HB.

Anymore speculation beyond that is just that...The fact is, we'll never know what parts of the bot got us caught, but the bot itself did it.

well, i have botted in pvp like a madman, rbg routine botting 2.3, arena routine botting on ALL classes, and i really mean all, ranging from 1,6 on the lowest char up to 2,8 on the best, i geared ALL chars via bg botting, full honor gear, this addon, last addon/seasons, did the *Justicar* with full bot action on main account(this season), random bg action on different chars (with char swapping/relogging, thanks to HBrelog) like 12h-16h/day in the heavier botting time, thou that went down to like 3h every third day, just to be able to buy bonus rolls weekly, in the end. i did heavy routine botting in both raids, top dps, archology bot all the way, all the master angler salty stuff thanks to nice profile from buddy store, both turtle mounts aquired, idk, i was just kinda waiting for the ban to be honest, i had times when i was online for 48h straight. nothing happened. then we cleared brf myth, and my interest in the game went a bit lower, having achieved most of the shit thats interesting right now. gta5 came for pc, i didnt really logged to wow for like 4 weeks, only coming only for the brf clear wednesdays, and even that i just watched movies, keeping my ass out of the raid as much as possible. i didnt buy a token so far, no need, as my accounts are payed until august, thanks to the gold selling at the raid releases (thanks <3 bmah).

conclusion: no ban on any of my accs. i thinks its the fact that i have been in snooze mode the last ~4 weeks, because two of my raidbuddies who have been far more active than me (and have been botting) got banned, both of them bought tokens too. so, the ban is propably not related to older reports, but it MAY be related to the token introduction, if not with the token itself.

still, one thing i dont understand: why only 6 month ? ive had a mainacc ban in wotlk, perma, no hope for redemption, and i 'lost' lots of farming accs, always perma, but now, for the same 'crime', people get only handed 6 month bans ?

my theory is bossland won by selling out a certain amount of accounts to blizzard.

Plus the court proceedings are public and Bossland provided the documentation. They won by COURT DECISION, not some "plea agreement". Which means that if Bossland did give our information to blizzard (which they obviously wouldn't and didn't do), it was a very poor decision on Bossland's end.
