It will work in the US as will

It will work in the USA (California) if you have a child 13 years old or younger living with you. By rewording this letter, you can make the same request for all data inquiries to this account. Do you think they are God? Do you think it's OK for the numerous sex offenders employed by Blizzard to access you child Skype camera and masterbate? HELL NO! I'm not sure about other states, but in California they must provide all information to protect you child. I'm not going to cite all code stuff. Look it up yourself. The only reason I'm posting this is because I have a 12 year old and I want to know what pervert looked at what. I don't want my account back. I'm pissed.

You can email them. But they will protect their perverts and tell you to mail.

Yea, that is the only reason for myself to not send a formal letter myself too.

I have much more to loose, beside these 4 "main" accounts with 30 fully upgraded garrisons, which were succesfully farming 900-1200k gold montly, plenty of them had 10+ Treasure Hunter epic followers and 4x more useless botting accounts.

The point is, if that way I do "trigger" manual investigation on myself, I would just make myself bad "favor" in long run.

But if I was casual player, either Raider or PvP geek, without selling gold and botting only for supporting my online activities, they could find nothing on my records with manual investigation, and I would be fairly in a good stand to turn this against them.

There is no real reason to ignore what others have shared, just because you do not believe it personally. Do not forget, the personal experience is not everything on this planet. There is other people, other countries, other experience as well.

I doubt someone anonymous would care to screenshot, make pictures or anything to prove his point in a random anonymous thread on the internet. Just take it as is, no one do care if you believe him or not.

But on this question, I have heard similar story as well, shared from person, who have positive reputation on these forums. So I would not be surprised if the case, explained by Hellokitty12 is correct.

and second, i just recived a phonecall, and my account was unbanned after we hang up. My friend who told me about this, and gave me the exact same letter didnt recive any phonecall, but he got letter in his post with the information he asked for. what he did was open a ticket to the support and told them to unban him as there is no evidence against him longer cus the legal team have deleted it. And he got unbanned after 30 minutes! end of story. not gonna tell you guys to belive me, but this is what happend. Belive it or not, i dont care. For next time i will not share anything, cus of people like you. I just wanted to share, so other can use this. may not work much longer, but it's worth a try :) it worked for me.

Sorry for my english, i know it's not perfect.

      are you Blizzard?

Oh yeah? You know this how? I don't know this. I want to know this for sure. I will need to see proof. You sound very similar to those pervs. You make a statement and I should believe. Who are you? I don't really care what they scan on my computer personally, in wow out of wow, but in no way am I going to take your/Blizzards word for it when it comes to the power of pedophiles. It bothers me that they even have access to my son's process list.

If they were hackers, they could remotely control your PC, just as you would do it, but since they are multibillion company, they are not supposed to have the tools, enabling such actions.

It is a WoW1 which is what I figured it would be as all accounts start at WoW1 so it would be the easiest to fake, but I'll be honest you went to the trouble of posting SS when you've already got a legit member of the community believing you based off other things he has seen. (Aion)

I will eat my words to you, I absolutely love admitting I'm wrong when my being wrong would actually benefit someone in a real way. (the idea of my being wrong obviously not the actual fact that I was wrong.)

Gratz on the account being returned. (not being sarcastic_)

I would only add that there are prolly other mitgating factors we can't be aware of that led them to unban you. This is highly unlikely to work for many people.

The path is common for anyone, which had to deal with the local court.

Every trial in the court is not cheap for both sides, and usually take noticeable amount of time too. So maybe for Blizzard's attorneys sometimes is cheaper and most effective if just lift certain suspension, instead of going to the local court.

In the OP's case, I believe Blizzard's attorney should defend the corporation in the local court for the OP in Norway. I doubt any benefits Blizzard could get off possible win, would overwhelm just the transport and accommodation expenses of the attorney.

I've been battling back and forth with blizzard aswell using the EU Data Protection Directive stuff aswell and it havent worked for me yet.

It has come to a point where they have asked me to provide an identification ID of myself to handle over the proof.

WTF are you serious?!?! Do you think sex offenders care if Blizzard is a multibillion company? Use your brain! Sex offenders insert themselves into places where they can have access to people or information. You can not be this naive, unless you are also part of Blizzard like the troll accuser before you. I'm starting to think maybe this forum was also handed over to Blizzard. The way the moderators closed my last post stating that it seems fishy. Interesting how they don't close other topics. Lets see how long this one stays open.

Without taking off the OP's topic, would just clear for you, what I have wrote above:
Any company, multibillion or not, should and usually do setup, administer and moderate their system in a proper way, so no employees with possible cruel intentions could have access to tools, which could harm their customers in any way.

P.S. I wish, I could work for any gaming company like Blizzard, but indeed, in my country we are too away of them, and I am too old for this :D

When you receive formal letters, it is common sense to send notarized copy of identity verification document like ID, Passport etc.
That was my point, when I mentioned the first step into sending mail to Blizzard - hiring an attorney. This is part of his job, to prepare the letter in formal format.

To be honest I can see it happening. To have it on record with a copy of the letter, registered mail or EU countries version. If you go by the law as stated they must tell how they can prove that he/she was botting. I am sure they used the same on the EU servers as the US. I have read past posts were people talk about how warden was found out about from the glider lawsuit. If that is the case and they have a new thing that they don't want bot makers to find out about......
Might be bs, but might be true. If I can ban 100k people on a US side servers why would I give the info out as per law when I can just give back a few account?

You know honestly Blizzard is winning by the second around here. We spend so much energy beating on each other. One phrase comes to mind which we say here locally. Crabs in a bucket. We all stepping on each other to be on top. Blizzard watching us laughing their a@@s off. Stop the darn fight of each other and start fighting Blizz if you have all that energy and nothing of any use to do with it.

Can you tell me the name of the law that requires them to tell you how they knew you were botting?

Keep in mind, personal data laws do not apply.
