      Hello,

After reading almost everything in the Ban/Discussion section the past week, I can honestly say that I find it a very bad dicision to release HB any time soon.

Please don't hate me for it. But after reading the Bossland update from 21st May, I don't really feel secure enough to start botting again. (I only used leveling and Garrison bot. Sometimes in a lazy mood I used a CR in LFR). But the HB team isn't even sure what caused the detection. It seems that this was a banwave targeted for HB users only. And it's pretty clear when the detection took place.

But, what concerns me is that I've read so many possible methods of detection, but I have the feeling it's not fully been investigated. I know this would probably cost weeks or months. BUt then again. Blizzard had such a hard time finding us over the past years. Why is it so hard for us to find Blizzard's method? I'm not a computer-nerd in that sense. But I can't understand that so many people with such backgrounds are unable to figure out what caused us to be detected.

That said, I just find it very risky and I almost dare to say that it's about a 99.9% chance something like May 13th will happen again soon after HB new release. The safety of our accounts are Bosslands main priority. But in this case with know not knowing what happened it feels just wrong to release an "updated" HB.

Again, I don't want to cause a fight or hate or anything along those lines. I do appericiate the team for working hard to get the bot up and running. But...I don't think I will risk it. Not for atleast a few months.

Stop posting bullshit like this. If you don't want to lose any more accounts because HB is probably detected just don't bot as you said. 2 or 3 months wont change anything if they haven't found yet the cause of this detection which I highly doubt.

It is not bullshit. I shared my opinion about this. Like I said, it's not that I won't use it ever again. I just said that I would be careful with using the bot anytime soon. And yes, perhaps in 2-3 months they will have found out how it got detected.

Read my other posts from yesterday/today in other threads. I personally don't think it's unsafe to run HB if you succeed in hiding the executable and removing all obvious traces of you running it. I am 97.4% convinced the detection was not based upon what HB does to the game itself, but some other factor. I'd be very cautious as to run it right now, but if you undertake the right measurements I believe you should be safe. Remember that suspensions aren't just about detection, but a host of other things like business decisions within Blizzard (i.e. they do consider tactical issues and overall impact on the game/finances and only a fool would think they blindly just ban people without considering a whole lot of things considering the total volume of botters).

Being HonorBuddy.exe is visible when running and even registered on your system in ways that are easy to find (at least if running the installer version), I think we can pretty much assume that there are legal reasons why people didn't get banned before and not technical, as the information about you botting is out in the clear if someone is willing to pass that line and search your environment. Now that they changed the ToS, it's clear that it's most likely less risky legally to read your stuff in some countries, and that it would have to be contested in court or brought up with the proper authorities if you think otherwise.

Again, read my attempt on describing the probability of detection methods in another thread. I also think you can pretty much assume that BossLand has a lot more information than they disclose, and I don't believe they deliberately are risking the rest of their customer base without some thought to it. Well, unless someone bought them out in secret and this is just a big honey pot operation, if you want to wear a tinfoil hat.

I personally will try to run it on an account in a very strict and monitored environment, but I don't think I'd ever again run it on any valuable account. The thing is, we don't know if they flag us for later, but as I also mentioned, by allowing further business from you after they claim to have detected your breach of contract, in many countries that is implicitly giving up their right to suspend you, as they didn't terminate the contract over taking more money from you.

People who are afraid getting an accident with their car should not blame the dealership and just dont drive...

People who are afraid getting banned for botting should not blame Bossland bot simply dont bot...

      Simple as that..

oh please... it's a bit different to what you're saying

it would be going to a dealership and them saying "ok, so you can buy these cars, we made them, we thought they were safe, turns out they aren't and they are prone to accidents it's not the users fault, we dont know why it happens but if you buy the car there is a very high chance you'll have an accident"

That being said no one is holding a gun to OP's head to use the bot, or anyone elses... everyone should be aware there is a greater risk of detection now as blizzard seems to have a pretty surefire way... and it's upto the individual if they want to risk it or not.

these threads are so funny with people saying its not detected and it is dectected even though bossland said himself it may have been detected and they dont know how "alot of users got banned" yet other people are saying its not detected. So much bullshit talk on these forums.

NONE of US and I say NONE OF US have no clue if it is detected or not. Even the creators have no clue if it is detected they need more test monkeys and a lot of time too see how blizzard has *****ed down on botting.

I think its funny how everyone is so certain that Bossland is telling us the truth in publically-accessible forums. Would you? Hell no! We all know that there are little Blizzbois running around here with tiny hard-ons, waiting for a chance to run back to the mothership and tattle on BL....

I never blamed Bossland. I just said I didn't find it wise to relase it this soon. Where did you see me blaming Bossland for all the bans?

Whats even more funny is that nearly every single online store for cd keys for WoW are sold out of WOD. So botters still are going to bot once HB comes back, myself I am going to wait as this also gave blizzard a big $$$ increase. Are they going to do it more often for quick cash? Since they know gold farmers are going to just buy more accounts :p

I'm not waiting for HB. Been botting on a scrub account since my other caught that 6-mos ban. When HB comes back up, I'll switch back.

Realistically, we (the end-user) have no real way of knowing what happened to get us caught. But I find it hard to believe BL would just throw us all to the wolves...

Lost me after the declaration that our accounts are bosslands main priority and not their bottom line. Real talk.

Nor did they ever imply that there was zero chance you could be banned. When this gets switched back on, I bet there are hundreds of people that get banned and whine about it.

On a separate note, and I'm not sure if anyone has thought about it, the majority of this forum needs to be private. It won't 100% eliminate the filthy spies, but if you could set it up where part of the registration to post or read the non-public areas required having a purchased key, it would really up the stakes on the espionage. They would have to purchase the product to be able to see the majority of these forums.

Or even take it a step further, if the authentication servers show they've never botted before, or have not botted within so many days, disable access. I don't know if that's possible with the coding or feasible, just brainstorming. The reason I suggest it is that the Kotaku cock gobbler who wrote the article obviously had intimate knowledge from this forum, as there were elements of Bossland's post in his shitty, libelous article.

C'mon! Do you think it would be hard to buy a bunch lifetime keys for each and every Blizz hacking team engineer for multibillion corp?
As of topic, i think BL should release a version, say beta marking that as dangerous and not intended for "every day use for farm your dailes and CR in raid" as fast as possible to enjoy suicide botters that don't give a shit about bans at all and collect some telemetry from that "in the wild'

You apparently missed the part of verifying that the purchase keys are actively used on the authentication servers. Do you really think Blizzard would make purchases and bot in their own game to gain access to these forums? Perhaps. But it sure would be a pain in the ass for them.

Why wouldn't Blizzard just wait, bide their time, and issue a ban wave again, leaving no idea when the data was collected or how?
