Why do you keep mentioning that Arena wasn't supported?

If you go out of your way to make a separate "Paid" section for PVP in the Buddy Store. There is no way you can say we turned a blind eye when you very well know what it was used for and you made money off it for months...

You have let BGBuddy rot the Botting world. I hasn't been updated in years it seems. This same blind eye is the true cause.

Your team simply is unwilling to make things such as Botting Arena more human like. You don't enforce rules to limit what is needed and correct the obvious botting practices such as BGBuddy. If it's broken as BGBuddy it should of been disabled or fixed. 99% of the botting complaints are because of that. The other few are because of instant interrupts. All of this is fixable...

Disabling full AFK in BGs, instant interrupts, and movement in PVP. Would be a better reaction to stay low key then just blaming botting in Arena.

Bossland and the Honorbuddy team are not blaming Arena botting, but merely stating they were going to actively cut off that ability which they have not supported since 2010. Why is that so hard to understand?

      Cause and effect.

HB opens a complete separate section for PVP in the Buddy Store. While Arena PVP is the biggest most played part of PVP.

If you go out of your way to make money off of something. You are supporting it...

PS Tons of people have blamed Arena for the increased hostility... Which is moronic. When there are a million youtube videos of BGBuddy and instant interrupts.

That's a joke. Anyone over 2k CR wouldn't put it on instant interrupts. CDew and other Streamers would get you banned quickly. Just like fly hackers in RBGs. Undetectable but people still watch you if requested or tweeted about.

Instant interrupts are worthless in Arena. Having someone fake cast themselves to death is better with a 60-80 kick. The time wasted on casting is worth it.

And that is reason why is not HB allowed in Arena. Yes, many ppl wouldn't do it, but many would :)

And you still prove my point. Banning Arena fixes nothing.

I agree with the decision to remove Arena support, and that's coming from someone who sucks @ PVP, and used a private bot I wrote to farm Conquest points. The reality is, it removes the human element. The expectation when someone enters the Arena is they will be playing another person. I believe from a true PVP perspective, that integrity must be maintained.

Regarding Battlegrounds ... well, I firmly believe if players really couldn't tell it was a bot, or if the bot played so well, they wouldn't mind. It's the bot trains, the foolish behavior, and ultimately the LOSS they can't stand.

What I believe we need for BG's is a SkyNet type system. It would be ambitious ... but if there was some overlord type system in place, coordinating the movement of the bots ... then we have a fighting chance. That's not to say the "overlord" would need to be an active part of every decision as the BG progressed ... that would be out of reach in my opinion. But rather, when the BG begins, a decision or role is assigned to each bot. Still tough to do, and I don't have all (or any) of the answers ... but it would easier than trying to implement a "smart" bot that can make independent decisions about what to do without any communication with the other players (except maybe where they are on the map?).

But if an intelligent decision and role were handed out at the start of a BG, then not every horde bot would rush Vann in AV. Or not every bot would run back to try and recapture towers, etc. Rather some bots could have that roll, to capture towers, others would not. Right now, although these roles can someone be defined, there decision each bot makes isn't being communicated.

To me, this is the solution to permit intelligent botting in BG's ... but I'm open to suggestions. Ultimately, if the bots are going to continue to train, or make poor decisions, people will always complain. If a player were playing EoS with 14 bots, and those bots kicked ass, played it right, and won, that dude wouldn't say a word ... he'd re-queue ASAP and PRAY he got back into that group ... promise you that.

People on official WoW forums were talking about HB and CR botting in arena almost every day. Blizzard was forced to do something about it... Now they are calm and started QQing about class balance again as they were few months ago, before big boom of assisted gameplay in arena with HB.

It seems that this change helped to lower negative publicity in WoW community.

rofl... you realize your product is called HONORbuddy, right? :) no one has farmed honor outside of BGs since the first few months of Vanilla ten years ago.

Anyhow, I realize you guys are panicking but lets be real, you are embroiled in a court case for years. you are the biggest BY FAR player in the WoW bot scene, and Blizzard's stance vs bots is pretty extreme. They ban permanently no warning, they spend millions and have an entire anti-bot department, they spend further millions on lawyers and lawsuits. THEY ARE SERIOUS. The proportion of WoW playerbase that steps inside arenas, especially above 1500, is extremely small (relatively speaking). The entire arena e-sports scene has disappeared except once a year at blizzcon. The vast majority of those caught in this banwave never did arenas.

Point is, Blizzard's war against you is not about arenas or the amount of posts about kickbots on forums. Trying to "lower your profile" and "cause less offense to WoW players" is silly. You got thousands upon thousands of boosted druids and hunters farming low level dungeons for gold 24/7, you got GB2, grinding for gold, fishing, leveling 1-100, etc. That's what Blizzard has issues with.

Anyhow, since you are talking about "deciding what to do with battlegrounds", here is a crazy idea: perhaps with a product called HONORbuddy you will finally consider making its battlegrounds performance not the joke that it currently is. You couldn't code a 100 lines to improve / randomize logic for all these years so shit like below wouldn't happen? it's embarrassing. my piroxbot which was essentially an autoit script behaved more realistically in BGs. Don't tell us you care about account safety and not offending the wow community when this is still happening in 2015 after thousands of bug reports and complaints about HB's retarded BG behavior.

GUYS DO NOT USE HB ON ACCOUNTS YOU DON'T WANT TO LOSE. there will be another banwave, and it may not be just for 6 months next time. If you want to make some gold for a few weeks on a throw-away account, go for it.

You are new guy, we cant expect from you to know why it is called Honorbuddy..

There were two products - Honorbuddy and Gatherbuddy both were standalone bots. Honorbuddy was used to farm honor in BGs, gatherbuddy to gather ore and herbs. From that time, it was very long journey to where we are now. Back then, there wasnt nothing like Enyo with PvP CR to assist you in Arena. Product has evolved, but name is still same. They can rename it to Warbuddy, but it will not bring arena back to HB

This is what every botter should do anytime... Dont bot on something that you care about.

The discussion so far has to been to eliminate the ability to use BGBuddy while in trial version of Honorbuddy to have only registered users being able to use it. That has been the only negative statement made so far about BG's and RBG's as they have stated your PVP CR will still work for them.

I don't know why so many people see that they disabled Arena and immediately think all of the PVP is being disabled.

The PVP CR devs have been talking with one another and are assessing other bot base options for arena support or creating a lite version so fear not fellow HB pvp'rs. Just might be time to leave the sinking ship.
