Everyone is blaming Kick profiles for this new bans but i think the missing link here will be the buddystore. i strong suggest you to disable all the stuff from the store and try it out. i'm still not ban on my new battel chest farm account(dk at 85).

      ALL HEIL THE DISABLE STORE!

lets see... all the report of ban we have. 85% of them were using CR/kick/other stuff from store and all got ban(ofc maybe there is someone there w/o ban but we just have the report for who got ban). if you check close the people who didn't get ban yet and are reporting that is people who also said they are not using kick,CR and other. i don't belive the missing link is the kick profile.

what is the way the Devs use to connect HB's accounts to the store? Remenber the store is a new thing also and for many year(after 2006) we didn't have any problem with the bot....till now, till we have the store

Edit: i'll start run now a new account w/o the store connect and lets this 2nd account.

Edit2: remnber when blizz tweeted about the wave ban saying they dont want bot doing Mystic raids/rotations? let's where we have all our CR...on store ofc...for many year we didn't have it and we didn't all this people getting ban at same time

So, if I correctly understand you, you are suggesting that the integration between the BuddyStore and HonorBuddy is somehow sending up a signal flare to Blizzard that we're botting?

If you had a much firmer understanding of development and programming, you'd realize that is fairly laughable.

Not only is that corellation almost impossible to make (let alone prove), the illegalities of that act would get Blizz sued in a second...

is it? are you sure? i guess i'm bad at this and i just waste my time getting my science computer course where i'm learning 6.5k/month. well, i can say i'm not that good in connect stuff but it's not that hard anyway and also my english is bad.

i'm used to bot on my main account for getting rare mount and stuff like that and after awhile i start having a gold farm account for myself to buy more stuff in game with gold and i guess people like me are 10% of HB users.

true but the 1st thing everyone though it was a malware that blizz installed on our PC to detect HB and removed it before the waveban. are you going sue blizzard also for that if you didn't even know?

The one thing I am sure of is that Bossland and his developers are going to engage this situation in the most secure manner possible to protect their business and their customers. It wouldn't be profitable to do any less than that. And seeing how no other bot comes anywhere close to the sophistication of Honorbuddy, I'm sure they're more than qualified.

I don't believe Blizzard injected any malware. I do believe, however, that they read the memory of our computers. And, as intrusive as it sounds, if they did, then there is something in there TOS that allows them to do so.

This will be my opinion until someone sues them, wins, and proves otherwise.

I've been using Kick's, nonstop, 24 hours a day, since HB came back up. No ban yet. I'll keep you posted.

Wrong. I use a buddystore quest profile and I'm not banned on my new account. But it isn't Kick's, either lol

gold farming for profit isn't the same as gold farming for personal use (buying stuff in game)

Throwing accusations is one, but providing proofs is different stuff. So unless you start with the proofs, you are simply just-another-troll.

Everyone could create a product with contains logging functions to track users....
Some Devs do it to create statistics about usage or catching users of *****ed versions.

If they are greedy why they wont sell this infos to blizz or maybe blizz created a own product?

i have tons of conspiracy theories :D

yes we can but we are not allowed to
every HB product (store product in general) is checked by the dev team and it's been taking care of that all data protection means have been taken to protect users

you can look into some of our restrictions here:
BosslandGmbH:Getting Started with the Buddy Store (as a Developer) - The Buddy Wiki

it goes without saying that this does only apply to the buddystore itself; there is no security if you're using a product from any source else
      go on, next theory :)

yeah but you can hide it cleverly. so maybe it gets overlooked.

      other theory...
everything uses lua to get info from the game client.
blizz hooks the lua functions themself. and watch if hb reacts to it. but hide it from the game client. so the player wouldnt notice.
