I have been keeping an eye on the forums while running my own WOW. I personally haven't gotten banned but with the new reports I am going to shelf the account for a little. 4 different people banned with what looked like about 15 or more accounts perma banned.
No matter what was said to me it looks like detection. I will look back at honorbuddy in a few weeks.
      Be safe guys.

It's not detection they are drawing conclusions from botting behavior and banning repeat offenders.

15 "possible" bans (more likely trolls) out of a customer base over 100s of 1000s ..

I think we have all seen what a real detection looks like.. its not this..

.. Look I cant be sure HB isn't currently detected... TBH I don't know if anyone can be, but we have no option but to push through this.. It wont matter what the devs do with internal testing.. Blizzard ban a few clients using a new unknown build- because they know its the internal testing going on...

The bot has to be pushed to public release to know if its really detected or not... right now I think its not

Regardless, unless the people are reckless fools (like the guy bragging he's running 24/7 and has yet to be pinched) I'm not sure what difference it makes. They're still identifying people fast based on something. Certainly has stopped me for now.

I'm not going to pretend I know, or even have an idea of what Blizzard is using to identify HB users, but from the few ban reports I've personally looked at I've noticed they've been using Questing Bot and Kick's profiles. I haven't honestly read any other ban reports saying anything else. Now, keep in mind, I've only read about 6-8 ban reports, which hardly amounts to anything in the broad scope of things, so take what I've said with a grain of salt. Do what you need to to feel safe. I'm just trying to lend some insight to the subject.

That might have to do with the fact that we all have fresh accounts and need to level them up.. And quicks is a good way to do it..

So yea people getting banned right now are prob using kicks, but it's nothing to do with kicks profiles I don't think

Using Kicks may be a risk, since movement is scripted and clearly recognisable by others and there are theories about server-side recognition of repeating movement patterns.
But since I'm *only* using HB for my rotations and move around manually, and still got a ban, it definitely goes beyond the detection of scripted behaviour.

Exactly, I really think this is the case based on what we're seeing.

and I agree with this, since it seems to be people who bought 1 or more accounts as soon as the release was pushed and started botting, I got a new account right after the ban wave and played by hand till the release. I've had no issues thus far

common sense goes a long way too... :<

The general consensus is, that the WoW client received some kind of "trigger file", which activated dynamically inserted code that would be capable of scanning your memory.
This happened during a relatively short time, to avoid detection.
By the time you would find out, the inserted code would have been removed already.

And IF indeed this is the case, it could happen again .. as I type this .. or tomorrow, etc.
Blizzard may not ban you on the spot, because as we know, they like to do it in batches.

So it doesn't have much to do with common sense - you have been lucky that you were not online with HB while that event happened.

So the tripwire event detected it, but the scan already completed ?

Are we talking about nanoseconds/milliseconds/seconds/minutes in which the scan started, completed, then tripwire detected it ?

Was there another tripwire event I'm not aware of ?

I was botting during that one event where everyone freaked out, but I wasn't banned.

I'm also now adamant about not saying on the forums when I got a certain drop.

Just assume HB is detected and expect to be banned sooner or later. I am not saying it is but that's the mentality you need when you bot using ANY bot/lua unlocker/rotation bot. Anyone who has been around botting for a while knows that bl!zz *could* shut all bots/hacks down but they don't. Bl!zz is not run by retards who don't know what they are doing.

I know, I always have been and will be prepared for it.

      I'd never complain either.

exactly, I can't even guess at how much I've spent on buying new accounts since glider, but the problem as I always see it and continue to see is the assload of misinformation and random speculation the tin foil hats just get bigger and bigger :|
