Also, this thread might not have been a complain thread.

But you do have to understand that it's only boiling up more and more reactions. PvP'ers are feeling obviously let down by the HB community. So making threads like this is kind of asking for strong reactions even though it was never the intension.

Good players can beat the bot. As a matter of fact, a good player who bots disabled a great deal of the functionality themselves, because they don't trust the bot to handle it as quickly or appropriately as they would.

In PvE I've seen several people beat bots. My partner for example does insane DPS, using no bots. But in PvP beat a bot who has insta interrupts? Forget it.

Just like going against a good player, you juke the cast. They can't interrupt ALL of your spells. Don't wait until you're below 20% to try and cast a heal.

I admit, it's very frustrating. But nothing you won't eventually end up going against, at some point, anyway.

Why are you still using the "No one on My/your Team of raiders would complain that you/my raid DPS/healing" argument to refute my point. That was never my point. Ever. I specifically outlined that in a massive post to Razer and reminded you to read that post again. I can just as easily say that no one on my/your RBG or Arena team would complain either that my/your damage/healing was too high. Why would they? It more than likely helped us win. Understand? My PvE argument has nothing to do with how botting benefits you and your raid. You should completely disregard that, because my PvP botting benefited my RBG/Arena teams as well.

My entire PvE argument in the original post explicitly stated that while the PvE impact of botting is obviously very different than PvP in how it affects other players and their WoW experience (because duh, PvE and PvP are different) it still affects other players. It's just in a different way. It has nothing to do with how NPCS or bosses might feel about botting. It has nothing to do with who might actually complain, and it has nothing to do with which side affects more players. I won't argue that, but it seems like you might be and others might be misinterpreting what I said and making that argument as well. It has everything to do with how cheaters or CR users on both sides of the game are equal cheaters in the banwave and how the argument that one side is more wrong than the other is completely ridiculous. All of which, mind you, has been bolded and underlined for emphasis and basic understanding.

Fuck other players, who cares? As long as they aren't reporting you.

      Fuck other players?

Would you rather everyone bots or no one bots? If the arena bot continued, it would have been bot versus bot with player controlling movement. Is that really what you want? What's the point after that?

more people leave because they can't compete with bots. Less players means less competition.

No matter what people say about PvE. The PvP botters will keep defending themselves. I stop responding to this thread now. It's just getting annoying.

Oh...and just to be clear. No I am not a PvE nor PvP botter. I mainly used the bot to level alts and do Garrisons.

i think his statement might have been directed at the notion that a botter is taking the place of a lesser skilled player in the raid.

and somehow, that's not fair to the lesser skilled player.

what about the other 19 players in the raid who would rather have a botter that is rocking than carrying a bad. what about their feelings. isnt that what this is really about? choosing to please 19 players rather than putting that bad on a pedestal, where they might start believing they deserve a spot in the raid, just because they aren't botting?

choosing not to bot doesn't make a bad player noble, it just gives them a false sense of entitlement.

I usually end up carrying under skilled players b/c the bot allows to carry for two+ if my toon is geared well enough otherwise the other healer(s) get thrown out the raid and never gets any better gear to be able to heal in raids. Normally thats how it ends up as far my participation in raids and PvE botting goes. the boss doesnt jump on WOW Forums reporting me for botting and even when people do see im botting they just leave me alone b/c im carrying them through a raid and want the gear.
Ive had the option to Arena cheat and PvP cheat but I dont feel its right to cheat against another person helping people in raids is one thing while directly botting against another is an entirely different subject all together. In PvE you work together to reach a common goal in PvP you fight each other its two entirely different.

I'm not sure If I understand your point, Frosticus.

A botter is taking the place of a lesser skilled player---> less skill than what, the bot?

the other 19 players in the raid who would rather have a botter that is rocking than carrying a bad----->Do they, should they know it is a bot?Honestly, don't think so. I always loved the competitive aspect of dps classes in raids. Bots, when used to their best, destroy it. Just like in PVP, I would rather compete with other people. I already have the bosses and trash for AI, I don't need my teammates doing that too.

Choosing not to bot doesn't make a bad player noble, it just gives them a false sense of entitlement---> what about a good player? If a CR is good enough, it should outdps almost any player in most encounters. If it does not, probably the bot user is the one to blame, they should tune their routine better for that fight.

I can see a point in time, if botting is still allowed in pve content too, where if you wanna join a top X guild, you'll need to be able to use X bot as a requirement. To improve your performance.Last time I hardcore raided, it was already happening, not exactly with CR's, but with another sort of technically ilicit program that allowed you to NEVER miss a proc. If you wanted to perform at 100%, you needed it. It was only a matter of time for that to happen with Cr's.

EDIT: My point being, what happened to Arena will happen to PvE raids too. Competitive aspect exist there as strongly as in arenas too. When the PvE reports get too loud,Blizz will probably need to do another massive banwave, and then Hb will have to shut down raids.
Whinners do whine, and when they can't cry about arena, they'll cry about raids. At least that's what I think.

A bot is a bot which means you cheat and have a fair advantage regardless. If you want to be fair don't use HB for anything. In my opinion I don't think Bossland should abondon Arena/Pvp. A lot of people purchased HB mainly for PvP. Taking it away from them to me is unfair.

taking arenas away from you is not even an issue. staff has stated many times they didnt support arenas.

bgbuddy is not what it used to be. sure, at one time, it might have been awesome. but now, not so much. even hb users are asking for it to be removed.

It's not your issue but for people who bought HB for PvP it maybe for them. I understand the staffs' statement but it was allowed and it worked which is why some people bought HB.

Competitive aspect of dps? To what, try and beat the same classes leading the leader boards since vanilla?

      https://www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/7

Go look at that. Almost every fight whats the majority class? MAGE. On a lot of the fights its literally only Mages in top 10 rankings(Blast Furnace, Hans'gar and Franzok, Flamebender, Iron Maidens that is 4/10). Look I'm no PVE expert but I will say this. Every expansion is usually dominated by 1-3 of the classes. The rest are all dog shit(pardon my french). For those who are into the healing ranks, Disc priest or you wont be top 10 ever. There is hardly any competitive aspect to dpsing anymore, nothing is close in comparison to some classes. In most classes you have to be a certain spec still just to attempt to compete most fights.

No point in trying to talk to people like this they just dont get it. They dont get that raiding is not a competative sport while arena is. They just mad that arena was removed and are trying to state in everyway why it got removed.

If you want to get ranked in a PvE fight at world of logs with a rotation bot you have to tweak your cr and oc have to do some things manual. Kicking spells, DPS and other cooldowns. You still have to know the fight and you still have to know your class. You will need the same addons cause things that matters are way more easier to see. If your raiding buddys (haha) can compete with your numbers you will get ranked. Obviously. The shorter the fight, the higher the amount of time pots and heroism is up which pushes dps anyway.
That doesnt hurt the players in your guild. Eventually another player who wants your raid spot, but...how many guilds you see with "RECRUITMENT CLOSED!" To get a raid spot is no way difficult even for an average player.

OC its cheating. Breaking the rules of a computer game. No more, no less. I break rules everyday f.e. speed limit, but not near a primary scool at daytime. Same for PvP, its breaking the rules. The difference is the effect to other humans if they spot you. If you want a challenge against other people your game experience is wrecked when you notice the opponent is breaking the rules (if you lose ;)). When I told a rl-friend in the same raidgroup I use HB first reaction was "WHAT? Really?" After a week a private ts window popped up and he asked me which cr to use and helping him with the setup. lol.

I have no shining halo over my head but the way I break the rules dont make other people mad. If a pvper cheat in arena and tweaks his cr in a way he is not spotted everything is fine. Problem is a lot of us are too greedy or too lazy to do this.

      End of sermon.
