But even in times when I've considered saying no(not supporting) i still allowed it(supporting) and u(I*?) reserve the right to take down(stop supporting) said material as I see fit.

Official support is a more flashy way of saying that the support is ultimately in the hands of those who claim official.

Support, like about a million other people have already stated, is a more broad term. It means that you are for something. You are pro to something. You are not against it. Etc etc. If someone designed a bot script that allowed you to duplicate items, fly hack, run through walls, instantly kill other people. Bossland would probably not want to BING! Support it! because it might draw too much fire. It might not be what he wants people flooding to HB to get.

Last Reply, because it was here when i came...

as i said, people can interpret the word support however they want.

The Fact here is that Bossland never Officially Supported arena usage in any capacity, he merely allowed PvP CR's to be used in conjunction with bot to be useable in arena.
Now ontop of not Officially Supporting Arena he has also Disallowed the use of it.

It's not going to change, move along.

and to reiterate - anyway, people are going to spin this however they want, and neither side is going to disprove the others argument in a way that one side will step down.. so i'm leaving this thread.

Edit - But even in times when I've considered saying no(not allowing) i still allowed it(allowed) and u(I*?) reserve the right to take down(disallow) said material as I see fit. Don't twist my words to suit your agenda

It turns from allowing to supporting when your making money off of it.

[SUB][SUB]Wonder if "especially financially" will be misrepresented to mean "only financially." Or if people will argue that harbouring content isn't beneficial.[/SUB][/SUB]

And just to clarify, once again: My own concern isn't with Bossland allowing arena botting. Contrary to the arguments you and V1R4G3 have presented, I'm personally content with the change. I'm concerned about the transparency of the business model here, since I'm actually invested in the product. I really don't want to see another banwave result in massive software changes, only to have them justified on the grounds that "Oh, well, we never supported that [eg: battleground botting] anyway." Intellectual honesty is really important here. Especially since we're all at risk of being banned. Trust is kind of necessary.

[SUB][SUB]P.S. Can't stop laughing about how V1R4G3 went off about how I'm super butthurt, but left me negative rep saying he can read just fine.[/SUB][/SUB]

MAC addresses are layer 2. They don't leave it's network*(edit not LAN). Source and Destination MAC addresses change all the time. Layer 3 Source IP address and Destination address stays in the headers. Having a VPN will change the source IP address, so any form of proxy won't accurately find the main source of where the original client is.

      Hi, Blater et al.,

You are thinking like a network engineer analyzing normal traffic flow. Applications are free to read the MAC address, CPU ID, Harddisk ID, and pretty much anything else and send it to their servers. So yes, a MAC address *can* leave the network—just not through the normal Layer 2 IP packet routing headers.

      Just keeping things clear.

      cheers,

I stopped reading at this point. Learn what an analogy is before you use such a term.

I made absolutely no analogy anywhere in my post.

Ahh I see. I'm not a programmer, so I wouldn't know anything above layer 5. Thanks for the input, good food for thought. Will be doing more research about this topic :)

arena's aren't the only form of pvp...I'm sorry if you feel it is, it doesn't mean you're right.

There's not a single CR that was only meant for arena's.

Once again, you're using the word "support" solely as a means to say you "allow(ed)" or "agree(d)" with something.

It's not restricted to that. It's a broad term. In its most basic form, however, it means to "to enable to function or act." You enable that business to receive revenue via your business by supplying free advertising for theirs, just as HB supported Arena by receiving and continuing to benefit from the revenue that Arena/PVP CRs brought/bring. You can't cherry-pick an interpretation of the word "support" and use it to disprove someone giving you the very definition of that word. That's not how it works. Read this again very carefully. If you don't understand what we're saying, you're either obtuse or being deliberately obtuse in order to troll. There's no other explanation I can think of.

Ah well, time to move to another bot, this kneejerk doesn't bode well for HB in terms of attracting developers of CR etc. Couple months from now people will still melt faces in areans with a bot, just not HB.
I actually paid for CR's for usage mainly in the arena, so it's a punch in the face on this customer.

this is best goal, i somehow dodged this banwave, decided to play without hb (pvp-only) and now I got 2 options :
play vs other -r-boters who will support pvp routines
or spent money to join them...
      great :(

I used bots for arena but I am not pissed off about it tbh I earn decent cash arena boosting and still doing that now stopping arena in HB solves nothing (BG trains anyone). What got to me was that it was with drawn and we got thrown what felt like a rubbish excuse tbh imo. At the end of the day routines where sold with arena support and advertised as such. If Bossland had a issue then perhaps he should have said or put a disclaimer or said to the routine developers, just saying that it was never supported we just didn't enforce insults my intelligence.
I think it was knee jerk of the highest form and a low blow to HB users and if I am honest there are more pressing issues that draw way more heat but I am not going into it.
Bottom line I no longer trust BuddyStore and will not be buying anything else from the store. At the end of the day what is the point if functionality can just be removed when the powers that be see fit.

Same, I've spent a substantial amount of cash buying premium PvP routines, which are now pretty useless.

Probably want to contact the CR devs about that one. I'm sure they will tell you the same thing i'm thinking.

Pretty much if you are going to just up and change the rules though you stated since 2010 it was suppose to be enforced. It wasnt...alot of people bought the bot just for that reason. Tons of my friends. Refunds should be offered to those who no longer wish to use the bot that signed up to use it in arena or bg's should the bg's be changed as well. I have no issue with the change personally since there are 3 other bots that do arena just fine. But I would second the suggestions in the thread to allow custom routines in bg's and rbg's but take out the afk ability aka bgbuddy and bgfarmer....
