I've been perusing the forums for some details on combat assist. I'm looking for dps numbers specifically. Can they reach top dps numbers, perfect rotations? Endgame raid profiles? I'm currently using another bot and certain profiles can reach OP numbers, but I can't stand the way the devs treat the users there. I'd like to see if there are other options out there. Thanks for your time! -Butthead
First, you may want to change the named competitor's bot and replace it with a generic name, like "I'm currently using another popular FF14 bot". Mentioning competitors by name is against forum rules, or at least strongly frowned upon. Second, while we believe it is possible to reach very high DPS and raiding rotations, the voluntary development has not been able to reach those numbers yet while developing the currently offered free CR's in their spare time. They are, however, getting there and only improve with each passing day. While I am not personally familiar with the competitors, I believe the biggest selling point to the Rebornbuddy bot is in it's openness to customization; with a little research into coding (and plenty of help from the community), you can actually customize the bot yourself to do almost anything you can think of, including using raid-worthy rotations if you were motivated to create the right scripts for it.
^ this. If I raided, I'd help provide current numbers using the available CRs, but alas, I'm just a lowly solo player at this time.
I've raided extensively with CA in all turns of Coil, Extremes, and Savage. Combat routines are always going to be limited because they can't anticipate mechanics, and caster routines will suffer the most because they don't know when you're going to move and interrupt a cast. Physical dps is alright, with bards near-perfect because honestly, its a very simple rotation with no positionals. Ninjas are pretty good; with kupper I was easily doing 500-550+ (depending on turn) dps in FCOB, pre-echo. Monks are trickier due to constant positionals, as routines can't know when mechanics will force you to move. Dragoons I haven't tried. Healing is alright in dungeons and content you vastly overgear, but I don't know that any routine will be able to heal better than a decent human in progression raiding since healing in this game is so proactive. Tank routines can do basic rotations, but once again routines can't anticipate mechanics. Health-% based cooldown usage is ok for fatebotting, but its not much use for the routine to use Sentinel AFTER Flatten drops you to 10%. Just as important, RB can't read enmity atm, so more than any other role, tank routines would need hotkeys to toggle between threat and non-threat rotations. This is only going to be relevant for the next week or so.
