Been watching the official ban wave thread for a while and have not seen an official statement update:

      https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorb...th-2015-a.html

Not asking for details, just confirmation that you guys figured out what caused the ban wave and that the new release of HB is secure (more so then what it was).

And yes, I read thru as many threads as possible to figure out what the deal is, but could not find a statement from Bossland or anyone from the team.

      Thank you !

Edit: Thanks to the admin who just did "not a support issue, closed". Well done sir!!!

There is no update, they released the bot with a "bot at your own risk" message.

If you're looking for re-assurance that the bot is safe, you won't get it.

The official statement is, "the bot is as safe as it ever was. Thread closed."

Botting has never been, and never will be safe... just don't bot if you are afraid to get a ban.

Also if they did figure out how HB was detected it wouldn't make sense for them to tell Blizzard.

No one knows. Best guess was malware type detection from blizzard but this was speculation. 99.99% sure blizzard can detect it again no problems.

Bossland DONĀ“T KNOW how blizz detected hb.
easy to extrapolate that from their threads, new bot rules etc pp.

They guessed some little here`s and there`s, but its a shot in the dark.

Certainly an easy way to clear their own conscience when that next banwave comes as opposed to actually making proactive changes like an x64 client for starters.

      Just sayin.

You can keep saying all you want, it's still not going to change anything, just like continuing to whine about arena's.

But hey, how about you go build your own bot and make it x64. I'm sure you'll make millions off of it.

This makes it not "As safe as it ever was". We've all been using for years without problems and never experienced such a ban wave since Pirox.

x64 would probably save the thing for a while though and we all know it.

They know what it was and they aren't admitting it but they fixed it and rest assured we are as safe as we ever were.

Do you have proof of this? Here's the only official announcement from Bossland himself:

      Greetings Buddies,

We will soon release Honorbuddy again - we expect it to be by the end of this week.

"Its been a week since we closed down the authentication servers for Honorbuddy. In this time, we tried to figure out what happened. We must say that we have no idea what really happened and all we have are speculations.

We speculate, that at some point, Blizzard used parts of the World of Warcraft client that acted in a hidden manner like malware. Then they scanned everything they could scan on a given computer and flagged the ones they thought were operating against their TOS/EULA. They are fine to install any such malware-type hidden software at any given time according to their End User Agreement.

There have been rumours, spread by Blizzard, that over 100,000 WOW Accounts have been banned during the ban wave on 13th May 2015 and that they are most likely all Honorbuddy users. We have to dispute this; there has never been that many active Honorbuddy users. We are still unaware if this was a real detection or some shady malware that was injected into everyones computer for a short period of time.

Be aware that we have not seen the cause of the bans. We have an anti-malware and anti-detection tool called Tripwire that aims to identify unexpected behaviour by gaming companies. We can just try to make sure, that the next time something shady has been done, that Tripwire detects it. Tripwire is the only hope we can rely on right now; it has been improved and hopefully will watch over your shoulder much better now.

Again, we will give no guarantee and we have never given a guarantee, that our software is immune to detection or bans."

      Now...

Can you show me exactly where they said they figured out where HB was detected? I didn't think so...

Also, this is a sticky at the top of this sub-forum. https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/216248-honorbuddy-announcement-21th-2015-a.html for those that are lazy.

Taking 3 minutes to read the stickies can clear up a lot of questions and false statements.

You've been here for a month, every statement you've made in every thread is either false, wrong, stupid or ignorant.
