So can someone tell me pls why Blizzard is coming out with these fucking mini-patches, and if they will keep making new patches every week???
but the funny thing is, when they loose the wow-botters, they loose almost all wow players including me
I just mean that i've never seen HB getting down every single little patch, like now, so i think there is something going different frome before...or just going wrong.
It does seem weird that there is this much down time for a patch kilobytes in size, But it takes as long as at takes I guess. I remember in the past small patches coming out and a HB release very shortly after. If a patch is not released today or early tomorrow then It most likely a effect of the devs that are on leave are the ones that do the update or at least there absence will slow things down, so just will have to sit tight.
I work as a software engineer for a company that offers a SaaS solution. If we had such a long downtime, we could close. Vacation is no excuse.
I'm guessing it takes longer now than before is because they did figure out what caused the ban. So it takes longer to add the safety features. Otherwise these are normal major patch problems being fixed for in game issues.
It has been this way since I have been using HB. If WoW has a patch, then HB has to be updated. No matter how big or small the patch is. As for the time it takes, I can't make an argument because I don't know how large the staff is at Bossland, nor do I know what it takes to update HB other than offsets.
I don't remember to have ever seen HB down for days for a 80kBs patch, in my opinion our developers are still looking for how blizzard got us buddy users
First of all small patches weekly after a major update is normal for wow. Second honorbuddy normally is up and running within 24 hours of small patches. However like the last ban wave before the recent one. The devs took 2-3 days to release honorbuddy after small patches. My guess would be. They are taking extra time to check what has actually changed and more time to verify blizzard hasn't snuck anything in that would cause honorbuddy to be detected. My believe is they are taking the time to make sure our accounts are secure.
Actually there was a big long discussion in the wow forums with other game developers, discussing anti-bots using small obtuse changes in the DLL files. Apparently Blizzard listened and has been very vigilant in releasing patches every 3-4 days. The best way to counter the bot counter is to simply DONT LOG OUT. just put yourself idle with an anti-logout. Once you log out. the game patches. As long as your are in the game and dont shut it down. You can continue using the current patch. I know. I was botting until I had to go to work this morning, when i got home my kid had rebooted my computer to play counterstrike in windows. Little shit!
