For those that prefer commentary to actually reading patch notes:
Eh, I feel like patch notes / videos / etc. dont really belong on these forums and just clutter things up. People who want to read that stuff can go browse reddit or their news page of choice.
I don't see what it's hurting in the general RB forum. Most on-topic posts can really go in their own sub-forum if needed. All that really goes in the general RB forum is general questions in most cases... and patches are every few months. Just trying to keep everyone informed of the game's changes who may prefer not to read a wall of text. *shrug*
Certainly it doesn't really hurt, but I would guess that you're also annoyed by the random clutter on the general RB forum. Why add to it? Kinda like when people post patch notes here. I mean, thanks I guess, but I come to RB forums for a very specific type of information, not general game stuff.
But its the general forums, not like it really would not get much use besides that. You could continue to read the post subject and go "not interested" and not read it. Edit: essentially the forum rules do not openly state that members cannot discuss things related to the game but not exactly the bot itself. For situations not stated in the rules it comes down to what the mods feel is appropriate. If they haven't been closing/deleting the threads then its safe to assume they are okay with it for the time being.
Forum rules overrule personal clutter issues, he didn't break any rules making the thread. So just move on and don't read a thread you read the subject of and don't find interest. Its not like he posted a false subject to lure you into to a post with different content.
I really don't see how they're relevant, but if you'd like to bring forum rules into the conversation, they also don't prevent me from expressing an opinion. If you're getting indignant over it, aren't you breaking your own principle?
I agree. If it seemed like I was getting on your case, then I apologize. I just think that there's already so much random stuff on the front page from all the new RB users; having a well-known dev add to it just encourages more. And that's all.
I like the post. The RebornBuddy forums don't get enough action the way it is, so it's nice to see something new. It's also a few lines of text with a video link. It's not one of those big walls of text that make you question why you read it. Good post. I would read/watch another one.
aye, I prefer these kinds of posts to the many others asking the same questions time and time again. Atleast this is Informative, and in video format <3 So I can play as I listen/watch. Post em as they come, I say.
