      Hi all,
I've been botting for a while now, but never got into making my own bots. Recently I've been looking around on here to see what it would take to start. Now that I want to start making my own bots it seems a lot of the plugins people used to use are out of date and not supported anymore (such as the routes plugin). So my question is, can someone help me out by maybe posting a new thread on how to make a profile, comment with available plugins and such, and link me to a thread on the forum with active working instructions to make a profile?
      Thanks for any help!

That definatly had some very good info, but it looks tedious, I saw this one video of someone making a gatherbuddy profile using plugins and what not but those plugins are out of date. anybody have information on any plugins to use?

Profile writing is not fast. There are a lot of profiles out here i advice to get a nice profile pack or a profile that you really like open it with Notepad++(install it much better than simple notepad cause it makes the .xml code easy to see) and start studying.
Cause when you are done with understanding 4-5 profiles(that are drastically different) you will be able make amazing stuff. HS setting, using it to vendor, traveling to your spot even if you in another world and so much more.
Still even if you make a simple grind profile you will find that it needs a lot of testing and bug fixing and so one.

But as i said your best guide is to dissect other peoples profiles.

      Oh man the old days!

Profiles are a lot easier than people seem to think.
Just grab Visual Studio, Sublime, or Notepad++ and you're set combined with the built in dev tools.

Run around and click Generate Hotspot then copy+paste. Same for blackspots and a ton of other info you can copy that the developer tools will generate tags for you.
If you want to get advanced in it then pickup a basic knowledge of C# and lua. Look through other peoples profiles (Kicks and Azyul are great references) to see what they do.

What kind of profiles are you wanting to do?

The best start point should be the Kicks 1-100 SVN, just take his profiles as the best practices for profile writing here. Learn, test and adopt - virtually 95% of the profile writing aspects can be done that way, without need of extra plugins, QB or anything.
