      6 Month Suspension Turned Permanent?

      Good afternoon folks,

While checking WoW's armory for my characters for the first time since the suspension I was unable to find most of them, and the one I did find was "replaced" by a lvl 3 warrior. I signed in to armory to research to see if it was just a bug and upon logging in it states "no characters found". But I am wondering if this has this happened before? Is this common? What would this mean?

Edited to rephrase more clearly what I was asking from the community.

How do you know it was deleted? What has led you to this conclusion?

And why don't you just start another account under your b.net account? No lost mounts, no lost titles, no lost achievements.

Maybe conclusion drawn too quick but to explain: I was searching WoW's armory in order to find my character links to discover a lvl 3 had my character name on my server. I then logged in to armory to find "no characters were found". Searching each of them, they're gone.

I assumed mounts etc. were connected to accounts not b.net accounts so I assumed I lost everything along with it?

So what does your b.net account say when you log into it? Do you still see the account there, or is it gone from your b.net summary?

You may have had names that other people found desirable and they requested they be released. A GM could've seen that your account was banned and decided to release the names knowing that you wouldn't request to have the names reinstated since you were banned.

So the account is not deleted if you're seeing that message...Pretty easy to see that.

So all characters are sitting with reset names?

who knows...All I can say is don't start posts like this without solid evidence. There's already enough false information in these forums, and threads like this do nothing but monger fear.

Your account is not deleted, your account is not permanently lost. You have no evidence at all that your 6 month suspension was turned into a permanent ban. Every single person that logs into their b.net accounts that was banned in the banwave is seeing the exact same messages you're seeing.

Relax, all the 6 months suspensions have this text on the account management. So far I have seen ZERO deleted characters by Blizzard in my past 10years WoW history.
Yes, your character name could be released, even after I think this is highly unlikely, some stupid junior GM could have stolen it off you.

Dude, you went into other threads and told people that your account was deleted and that everyone should be warned. That's the very definition of fear mongering.

Just because you no longer have your character names, it doesn't mean they were deleted. Any GM has the ability to release any name at any time they want. Are they supposed to do that? No, of course not. But it doesn't mean they can't or won't.

Searching these forums would've revealed to you that several other people have said they're permanently banned because of the messages they're seeing on the account. Everyone is seeing the same messages on their accounts. Unless you got an email from Blizz saying that your 6 month was turned into a permanent (why on earth would blizz spend the time to go back and review your account again anyways?), why would you assume anything else?

My apologies. I went back and reviewed and reworded. Thanks for your feedback.

Login to your battle.net and go to remote AH. Even banned accounts can access remote AH, but cant do anything there. Do you see your chars there? Probably yes.

Could be that you got forcefully renamed as someone requested your name for release. I've done it hundreds of times, GMs can release names based on certain criteria (if the character with the name hasn't been online in 6+ months, or if it's a level 1 on an inactive account et.c.). Maybe being banned is one criteria upon which they can release your name? :(

Stupid idea but.... Are you sure you weren't looking on the armory for a different area? I've done it before; couldn't find my character because I was searching the US armory for my EU character......

I tried to read every post, but it got tedious. (Has this been pointed out yet?)

You DO realize that after a period of time and no activity and/or a subscription characters become inaccessible on the WoW Armory right?

They do, but he said he was active around the banwave. Which means the amount of time required to be inaccessible on the armory has not passed.

and he also said that the high level characters are now low level ones on the armory, which means someone else took the names and started alts to hold the names.
