Just quick question: Are deleted posts kept in an archive or anything, or are do they completely vanish?
if you delete your own post right now where it says "This Post was Deleted by So and So" as a moderator i can see that. but normal users of course cant. and unless its something where someone is insulting someone else there's no reason for me to see what you got rid of, so i just dont do it.
as a user, you won't see it (as CNG says). But as you can moderate your own blogs, make a blog, add a comment, then delete it... and it will say "deleted by XXXX" --- and you can click "show message" to show the orig message
theres two ways to delete it, to delete it, that does the exact same thing as when you delete it, and there's Physically Remove Message. and what that does is sets the message number to 0 and makes it so its not shown. the only way to remove a message from the database. is to remove the thread, and when deleting a thread, it gives the option to do a soft remove, that only removes it from being seen, and removal from the database. ether way, once a post is deleted ether way, no ones going to look at it, because no one cares.
