Caught Botting ... Attempted Guild BRIBERY!! Made me smile :)

He can only say "Gatherbuddy" when he knows that you flies the same profile as you. Thats the only was he could know why its Gatherbuddy, there are so many Gatherbots out there.

So this bastard might be a Buddy-Botter, too!!!

 

I would do this and make sure he gets banned.

I think its ridiculous that botters from the same community would do this to their own.

 

I wonder how many people he has managed to scam in this way from the botting community??

Quite false, You can tell gatherbuddy from SOME other "Gathering Bots" If you have used it. Also, Gatherbuddy is one of the MOST popular ones so ofc thats the one they will name. Has nothing to do with "Them flying same profile"

He still would of HAD to of visited our forums before to of seen it thus, most likely have used it before. He also talked about how it flies straight up etc. etc. which means he's used it before.

This is pretty funny but I suggest you to restrain from botting for at least a month. Good thing I am in guild that doesn't give a damn about what I do. They just refer to it as me "going Chinese".

 

[offtopic] Ive been spotted and reported by a guy on all three of my bots, would a name change misslead the GM's since they cannot find the name of the player he reported ( GM's dont know my account name ) ?

 

Although he mentions guild in the mail, he wont be part of a guild, he'll be operating by himself using the 'guild' as cover for his pathetic attempts at scamming. I'm continuing to bot on this character, I don't believe he is going to report, I think he believes people will just give him the 80k or whatever he asks.

He's got more chance of winning the lottery than getting any gold from me!

 

I see some people still fail to realize that EVERYTHING you do in this game is logged.. if you change your toon name, it can be tracked. If you xfer a toon from one account to another, it can be tracked. If you buy a toon then transfer it to an account of yours with the same last name, to avoid chargeback.. it can be tracked and reversed..

If you change your name, they can simply just look up that name then see it was changed.. its most likely the same concept as "my account has been hacked", now lets consider that your .net account has a different email on it due to the hacker changing it, if we used the same concept as you are here, how would they ever find your .net account if they dont track everything? sorry sir since they changed the email on your .net account we can no longer find it, please supply us with the new email the hacker used (or in your case.. the toon name) lol, how outrageous would that be?

the fact that they ban people for "association to exploitative activities or accounts" proves that they track everything. I sold 450k gold last week, I lost one farmer account cause of it and my vanilla account. They linked the farmer through the guild that I took the gold out of it, I took the gold out in 100k at a time by making a toon, taking it, trading it, deleting the toon. If we apply your name change concept here, how are they able to prove I sold gold if I delete my lvl1 toon after? I'm sure they have logs of what the level 1 toon did, just as they have logs of the name change you processed on your account.

inb4 they look at guild bank money logs theres so many example around these forums that you can apply to the same concept.. just assume from now on that they can track everything, if you want to prove it then pay for a name change, change it then call them up and ask them to change the name back, I'm sure they can tell what your old name was.. how the GM will find out what the new name is without having your account name.. who knows I'm sure he can search some name change log for that server, or the last known "save" of that toon name and figure out where it went after that.. they keep "backups" of your toon for hacking/restoration purposes, I'm sure those can be used to trace the destination of your toon if the GM isnt able to find the transaction/account name that processed name change transaction.

 

There has to be other bot programs out there that use XML files compatible with gb or else the gb users on my server should rot in he'll and die a very slow death for being idiots on the open market called /trade

 

Just do a few quests maybe, have you got any mails from him?
Did you stay in the guild? Do they talk about you?

 

You know WoW is getting too popular when kids play mafia within the game...

Sometimes I wonder why I still play the game lol

It doesn't matter if they are .XML compatible, the bot would have to be able to read the profile tags or it wouldn't work.
