the exploit has lasted a year as far as i know ,they will not fix the exploits that come from carton market .

 

I don't think this exploit is easily fixed. This exploit can be used with multiple items, so I think its more part of the game then the item itself.

 

its working with Gree items Bounty items rakghoul items billions items and credits they cant catch everything game will take a lot to recover from this
Makeb was nothing compared with this i even doubt will ban anything much because is like 30% from population used for sure from today
anyway there is some npc vendor files inside this patch so who know

 

If you think about it, this exploit is so noob. They really made a dumb error!

 

well i was playing Neverwinter on beginning there was exploit with astral diamonds again billions they did rollback servers with 3 days i think i forgot and game got fucked never recover so much

but this now on star wars is amazing me as gamer from years every game have bugs and some exploits but this is from 6 weeks and nothing
i even read reputation vendors copy was working from 1 year at least i don't know how true is

 

They could just set value to 1 credit for the dupeable items, this would at least stop the inflation. If they don't patch it tomorrow it will be an even more impressive failure by BW. If they are gonna fix it though I don't really know how they can wait so many days to deploy the fix. Most MMOs would have had emergency maintenance in a known dupe case.

 

It's not one item, this exploit works for every item that's stackable with a certain quantity to it. It's the shards, contracts, etc etc. But yeah its more like there is a team at bioware doing visual shit and a team doing quest stuff, but a few who do the internals of the game... Anyways didn't find anything about a possible fix in items and npcs from swtor miner. We can only hope.

 

did you check npc files vendor ? but i think ye nothing too
they just release retail files for download but they are encrypted

They have my vote too.

 

And they were clueless about it till the dataminers (whom they dislike) went to them and told them how it was done. The fix is that the decos are hopefully now non-refundable. It wasn't working on all decos, only certain ones. It was in the patch notes.

As of today’s patch, we fixed the following bug: It is no longer possible to purchase a stack of items and resell individual items for the price of the entire stack.

In a previous exploit, we were very up front and very public about its existence. We raised warnings as soon as we discovered the issue associated with the Temple Chair, with the hopes our players would not use it. What we discovered, were many players using a variety of ways to try and mask what they were doing and who they were. So, this time, we returned to removing visibility until we resolved it.

This bug created an exploit where a player could make large quantities of various currencies in the game with minimal effort. Use of the bug in this manner is something we absolutely consider an exploit. We are looking over the data of players who participated, and to what degree. We will begin taking action against accounts within the next few days. Action that will be taken includes:

Suspension, up to and including permanent suspension
Removal of credits
Removal of Commendations and other currency
Removal of Companion affection

I can only reiterate, if you discover an exploit, do not use it. Report it to the team immediately. You can do so via an in-game /bug or feel free to PM myself or Tait about it on the forums. Please, do not post about it publicly.
