Hi, I've been working on a custom bot that powerlevels your toon's professions for a few weeks. The bot is currently working as expected: visits trainer when needed, gets reagents using the mailbox or even the auction house if the user wants it, and crafts automatically, of course. In a few words, it does powerlevel your toon's profession to 1-525 without any interaction. Well, it may stop if you did not submit him the reagents or the AH prices are too high. In fact, it should keep going as if you were doing it by yourself. I got it working for Blacksmithing (1 to ~300) and Jewelcrafting (1-495). What I currently need to release it are the following: Profession profile (CSV file) for every missing profession Auction house price list for every missing profession I'm using powerleveling guides like This one. You can help me designing the missing profiles if you: Actually can powerlevel the profession by yourself without the bot (1-~500) Know how to write a CSV file (txt file with fields separated by tabs) Understand the bot limitations. The most important point is that you must not use craft patterns sold by NPCs/looted unless you don't have the choice. Have time to check the auction house on a populated server and carefully choose which crafts to do to minimize the levelling cost. Can take a look at the AH and set a default max unit price for every reagent needed in your profile. I will give you a test version once your crafting profile is done and supposed to work, so you'll be able to fix small mistakes or tweak it a bit more. Yes, it means you'll have to level the same profession twice (I don't care if that's on two different toons...). Here's a crafting profile example to give you an idea: Code: #skill item keep description 1-30 2862 0 Rough Sharpening Stone 30-65 3470 0 Rough Grinding Stone 65-75 2851 0 Copper Chain Belt 75-90 3478 50 Coarse Grinding Stone 90-110 2857 0 runned copper belt 110-125 3480 0 Rough Bronze Shoulders 125-150 3486 40 Heavy Grinding Stone 150-155 11128 0 Golden Rod 155-165 3842 0 Green Iron Leggings 165-190 3835 0 Green Iron Bracers 190-200 6040 0 Golden Scale Bracers 200-205 7964 0 Solid Sharpening Stone 205-210 7966 0 Solid Grinding Stone 210-225 7919 0 Heavy Mithril Gauntlet 225-235 7920 0 Mithril Scale Pants 235-250 7931 0 Mithril Coif 250-260 12404 0 Dense Sharpening Stone 260-275 12408 0 Thorium Bracers 275-290 12425 0 Imperial Plate Bracers 290-300 12409 0 Thorium Boots 300-305 28420 0 Fel Weightstone 305-315 23484 0 Fel Iron Plate Belt 315-320 23491 0 Fel Iron Chain Gloves 320-325 23487 0 Fel Iron Plate Boots 325-330 23559 0 Lesser Rune of Warding 330-335 23489 0 Fel Iron Breastplate Please send me a PM if you're interested and know you're up to the task. Don't waste your time asking for a test version if you cannot help me writing the profiles. Current WIP profiles: - tailoring - alchemy - jewelcrafting - engineering - cooking Looking for: - blacksmith - herbalism, skinning and mining (PM me before doing one of those. they use questing profiles) - inscription - leatherworking - first aid (yes, even that useless one)
I am actually skilling up a JC atm, at 130 -- i can help you out by testing the finished (or semi finished) for bugs. dunno about the rest =P (i'm on IRC, too)
I got my JC toon tester too, which rolled back to rank 1 many times.... () I mostly need profile designers but well, since I may have downloaded a few of your HB profiles, I'll send you a PM when it's ready for real testing.
What's about proffessions, which need to craft a certain amout of items as a material for another item, like inks for inscription or bolts of cloth for tailoring. As far as i understand your profiles, the bot just crafts until you reach the predefined skilllevel and continues with the next one ... am i right? If that's true, than you've something new to implement. ; ) Like "minimum crafted amout" If this is done, i'm going to create some profiles.
well JC is a PITA unless you have a few bank tabs full of leveling mats mainly because some things may generally be cheaper to make than others, even if some things require more mats but since this morning, I got my JC to 515 and it's now my prospecting bot, but when it's ready for a little testing, I have a friend or 2 that need to get their JC up at my expense
Cant help you write any profiles but those who can and will write them should take a look at these guides: Tarou WoW Guides | Leveling Guides | Free World of Warcraft - Cataclysm Guides | Gold Making Guides | 1-525 Profession Leveling Guides Good luck and looking forward to see a release soon!
the 'keep' field of each line solves the 'xxxx bolt' reagent issue. It will craft the item until it reached the skill upper bound AND has at least N times that craft in bags. And yes, it does keep those 'keep' items in bags even if inventory gets full; it only mails useless crafts / old reagents to an alt.
You know, when you're botting 10k gold per day, you don't really care about wasting a few hundred gold to powerlevel a profession that will earn you around 2-5k gold bonus per day.
I'd love to help on this... I'm 100% confident I could write one for Alchemy, if I had your template to work off of... Also probably engineering. I use Free WoW Guides whenever I preplanned my power-leveling in the past and they have never let me down before. I have a txt file on my desktop @ home which has all of the herbs needed for alchemy 1-525 separated out in to the level groups that noobschool uses. IE: 1-155, 155-250, ...ect.
What about Enchanting, is that a viable prof for your profile? I was about to level from the beginning with my lvl 80 char.
Enchanting is way more complex than the other professions since it requires you to disenchant items to actually get the reagents. I would more likely let the bot buy these reagents at the auction house since that's not as random as disenchanting and thus, way easier to know how much it will cost to level it. And if it fails because it cannot find what it needs to skill up, it would simply fail, stop and ask the user to find some reagents by himself in order to keep going.
I would love to help you with blacksmithing, tailoring and or leatherworking profiles. I will start making one and send you the pm And good to see you again cowdude!
I have a suggestion, in addition to checking mailbox for reagents, and going to the auction house, if it could also check the guild bank. It should probably be an option to check for people who use this on a toon where they don't control a guild bank and dont want the bot ninjaing stuff, but for those of us who have our own guild banks, it could work well, your farmers using GB can deposit the items in the gbank, and this plugin can retrieve them, sounds like win-win IMO.
Yeah, I already got my own little lib to use a gbank, although that's not as important as getting every profession working. Ronnieole: I've already been back coding a warlock CC. PM me your msn address or skype name before working on it, there are a few things you need to know.
I'm 99% done with a profile for engineering... I just need to go through and calculate how many of each item needs to be kept... but it'll have to wait until the morning... I'll pm you the finished copy sometime after i wake up. edit- I have a question, how would you write it into the profile if you need it to make something at say 310 skill, but its not for skill points o0? if its not posible then I'm going to have to rework 300-350ish... because I need to make Elemental Blasting Powder but the way I have it listed right now it wont get any skills making them. edit 2- I've re writen how 310-320 are done until I get a answer, but it might get a tad expensive as its all green skill level. edit 3- OK engineering is really hard to write up now that i am working on it more.... there is some stuff that you need to make more of then you actually need to for skill ups, jsut so you can make the next item on the list.... Looks like I might have to do a whole rework of the profile if the answer is no to my question in the first edit.
