Got back from break. Some thoughts and questions about current state of RB.

So i started playing and using RB somewhere in the beginning of this year and i found everything to be quite smooth and high quality.
I started with finishing most of the main story and after that leveling all my DoW/M to 50 by grinding to 10 and doing fates until 50. It was very quick and each class took a max of 3 days of sloppy monitoring and less if i cared.

So i took a break after hitting 60 which was about a week after Heavensward release and got back a few days ago and i took up where i ended by finishing the entire HW main story quests.
Next thing i wanted to do was to hit 60 with more classes and started working on Machinist which was smooth as always up to 50 but after that, it's not very clear what to do if you don't want to spend 5+ days doing camp dragonhead fate botting.

I got some support from our lovely y2krazy (always supportive and nice) and he told me that one way to do it was to try out enableflight and trying out Coerthas western highlands.

So i went and got everything i needed to do that i ended up:
1. Crashing after just 2 hours (dead on ground when i woke up).
2. My bot refuses to summon chocobo at all times when using this enableflight plugin.
3. Sometimes getting stuck in cliffs when flying.
4. I'm mostly alone in CWH and dying cause it's just too hard to do alone. Seems like everyone is still in dragonhead even tho it's slow.

It appears there's problems using these inofficial things, even tho i appriciate them i would love to see some official more stable stuff.

So my questions is:
How do we level 50-60 using this bot without having to use inofficial botbases?
Why isn't flying supported yet? It's been 6 months.

Agreed. Logs may help isolate the issue to something useful for ExMatt (or others) to try and resolve.

Zekken may not be a complete database (especially for HW areas), but you're welcome to PM me (or send on Skype) and screenshots (their name included) for inclusion in my Zekken database file that you can compile to avoid telegraphed attacks in in HW areas.

An alternative could be Order Bot grinding profiles, but you'll likely end up with inventory space issues and won't be able to AFK as long as Fate Bot or ExFateBot.

As for flying, the last update we received:

 

I did exactly this kept moving to new areas and grinding 100s of mobs that drop crafting mats that you can use to level your crafters. that then lets you mostly solve your own inventory issues and level your bird as you go.

 

I've had the exact same issues, so I understand exactly where you're coming from. However... All it has taken me to overcome these issues is less "sloppy monitoring", the purchase (or crafting) of up to date gear (at lvl 50, ilvl 120ish seems to be sufficient in CWH to not die alot), and my rank 14 healer chocobo. Now that I've set my character up for success gear wise and healing wise, I don't worry about death so much. And although its true the bot gets stuck or crashes on a regular basis as of late, I've found that its about less than once every 6 hours, on average.

If I check my character every few hours or so, its enough so that I can get from 50-60 in about 3 or 4 days. I take a break in between jobs, and use Lisbeth 2.0 to raise a crafter to 60, and then resume fatebotting another job to 60 so that its not so obvious to people who frequent CWH. So far i've level NIN, PLD, WHM, BTN, MIN, WVR, CUL since November (because I too took a break after Heavensward released) and I'm planning to finish all of the DOW/M jobs by the end of this year or sometime in January. I feel its necessary to mention that am online 100% of the time, and my character is active about 80% of the time (less active during crafting/gathering periods as it cant be sustained as long as fatebotting without input).

Of course its not just click and go from 50-60 all in one shot, but its still wayyyyyyyyy better than mindlessly doing it myself. I have very few complaints, and many more kudos for the devs and volunteers. Good luck, it can be done!
