3.15, relics, and ExFateBot

Hey there, just wanted to make a thread.

Seems like the new relic weapons will require a lot of grinding. Of course, this means grinding FATEs. I expect this to lead to a boom in people seeking a FATE bot for the new zones, since flying isn't supported yet.

ExFateBot works really well. I've been grinding in CWH. Haven't tried it in the other zones as they aren't as supported. According to datamining, as long as you have the relic quest, you can actually grind FATEs with other classes too. Anyways, it would be useful to be able to use ExFateBot in the other zones. This means we have to support ExMatt! If it's too big a job, maybe we can figure something out.

The point of this thread is just to bring everyone's attention to the new grind that 3.15 brings to us and fun FATE grinding.

Let it finish one fate before it starts flying, restart Rb if you have to pause it.

 

I thought that one doesn't work in new zones.

 

I stuck with exfatebot, works fine, and he added support for the regular fatebot settings a long time ago as well.

 

The issue is not the fate bot, but the flying itself. So this wouldn't help.

 

exmatt released a version of fate bot that flies in new areas a while back if u can find it! i use it alot

 

Thats what the OP is talking about. Its only really good in CWH and Sea of Clouds last I checked. But I only level in those two zones anyway, so im not 100% about it.

Heres to hoping we can get RB moving towards flight in all the new zones eventually, because any experienced player knows that obtaining the ability to fly isn't difficult, and therefore labels you a bot a immediately if they see you running around the zones for hours (especially if you have other level 60 jobs).

 

Sorry, but how to use ExFateBot? I did the SVN thing and make a Folder in Plugin of Reborn Buddy Bot Folder. When launch, I don't see any option to use it or turn it on.

 

EXFateBot goes into Botbases not plugins.

 

How to used it after I install it? And does Flight support yet? I'm using MMONION, but right now they are a bit clunky.

 

Select it from the BotBase drop down and if you'll be using it in HW areas (I suggest sticking to CWH and the Hinterlands, as I didn't test anything else with it), make sure you enable the EnableFlight plugin.

 

Guess I need to download the skill rotation for each job too right in order for it to used skills and rotation in FATES?

 

If you're just doing FATEs, using Ultima on every class should be sufficient. Make sure you set cross-class actions in-game if you have them available!
