Anyone have Good MMORPG options post 12/15 banwave??

Aight so shit happens... suspended for 6 months. No biggie. But does anyone have any good fall back MMOs? Something fun to play with cool peeps?? I've seen some cool shit in the pipes for 2016. I was never a gold seller or any of that shit, so not looking to make money. Just looking for options for the next fun game to play when drinking. Haven't found much available now on my searches today which is sort of disheartening.

List your fall back games if ya got em. Making another WoW account is not on my to-do list atm. Blizz has been sorata okay with botters for a long time, the recent ban-waves are a bit odd and has me thinking fuck it, move on already.

I haven't seen a good game that interested me in a long time. That is why I still play this 10+ year old game

The few games that look interesting look less and less interesting the more I find out about them. I think I have been spoiled by WoW. Blizz has a huge development budget for WoW, and when you play another MMO you can really tell a difference in quality.

 

Rift looks cool, thought it was space themed. No idea why, fucking sperg moments. I got my eye on Black Desert Online.... We'll see in 2016 I guess. There has to be others though.

 

Agree... WoW holds some serious nostalgia for me. But it'll never be the same vanilla awesomeness it was. At least for me, every xpac has been a little more reason to leave, though Legion does look cool.

 

If you are looking for vanilla wow then play on Nostalrius. I created a character on there last week. It is a very good recreation of vanilla WoW. It only took me about 5 levels to remember how much vanilla sucked though

 

Yes, Rift is pretty good.
Elder Scrolls is also good if you're not a big PvPer and enjoyed Skyrim (though I hear their new pack Orsinium improved PvP.) I swear I spend half my time just going around stealing anything that isn't nailed down.
There's SWTOR if you're willing to pay and don't mind lots of buttons (I'm pretty sure they have so many buttons because F2Pers get like 2 bars).
Gw2 is popular though personally I never got into leveling toons. Having random events instead of quests felt weird.
I really like the combat in Tera but frankly the rest of it is quite generic.



If you're looking for something a little more obscure and a lot more brutal there is Darkfall. Basically a vicious version of Archeage where any player is killable and you can loot them for their stuff.

 

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is really good, in my opinion.

 

I read that same shit on some MMO review site, seems well liked. Not sure FF is my bag. Downloading Rift now. May look into FF though, my old ass hadn't played Final Fantasy since the late 90s rocking that PS1.

I tried FFIV last year. In general I didn't really like the game, but there were two things that made me not play it. The first problem was latency. When I played they did not have any US servers. The nearest server to me was in Canada, so my latency was 150ms or higher at all times. The other issue was the global cooldown. FFIV has a 2.5 or 3 second GCD. This makes the gameplay really slow, especially when have high latency.

 

I can definitely vouch for Rift. I went from WoW to Rift after Cataclysm. Rift was only a few months old, and you could tell that the developers took into account the good and bad things about WoW and tried to improve on the bad parts when they made Rift. This was before the 1st expansion Storm Legion dropped, and Rift was still $15 a month. I played for a year, raided the first tier of extremely hard instances, and dropped away sometime later.

I wouldn't say it's better or worse than WoW, it's similar in design with enough additions to make it interesting. Lots of different ways to level. The starting zones always have lots of disenfranchised ex-WoW players that are just beginning and raving about how it's so much better than WoW. But their pretty jaded so make your own conclusions.

 

Just got a lvl 1 cleric on Rift going... so far pretty nice. Not sure it's a WoW killer but what is right?

I still have my secondary account. I have a lot of toons on it. I will likely just play that account until my main comes available again.

What I find absolutely hilarious is that my main account was banned about 3 hours before the subscription ran out. I was honestly thinking about taking a break from WoW since nothing is really happening between now and the release of Legion anyway

Wildstar has always been a good option, and the combat keeps things interesting well into end game. Keep in mind that it's very PvE focused as well, with a bit of a barrier of entry to PvP (mainly gearing), but it's F2P currently and is more or less modeled after the BC difficulty of WoW. Extremely fun to level (surprise there) as well if it's your first toon. I'd recommend a Spellslinger or a Medic for range if it ends up being your first time. They have the easiest learning curve and some of the better LAS (builds) for range PvP if that's your thing.

 

I knew it ... should have stopped reading the forums but I was curious... one thing that annoyed me really badly about wow is how they keep feeding the same crap over and over... I mean look at Kazz that model of demon has been there since TBC , guess that is why I loved WOTLK all models were very different.. oh well dead topic now ... thanks to whoever mentioned RIFT ... downloading now ... it has given me the wow factor that I felt when I first played wow

My problem is, i don't get enjoyment out of playing. I get enjoyment out of watching my bot play

 

I never really stick with any MMO for long anymore. The grind is way too boring hence all the botting i've done.

I'm just going to play League of Legends pretty much and some of my steam games here and there..
