Yeah right, you're the ones claiming things without a shred of evidence, believing the words of a random forum poster (that's all MVPs are) and he's the troll. It's cute when kids get defeated in an argument and they get all angry about it instead of admitting their hands are empty and they cannot prove their claims.

Yes, at the absolute most he would be repeating things he heard from a Blizzard rep. Understand that that rep probably didn't know what they were talking about. The devs who work on this won't say anything publicly about what they are doing to fight bots because that makes it easier to circumvent their methods. Is that clear? Anyone claiming to know the how or why would need significant evidence to back up those claims, otherwise it's just more hot air.

I'm going to mail Blizzard and tell them not to get rid of all my gold since only 6k is botted and all my gear is made by hand. Wish me luck.

Admitting you botted in a ticket is such a brilliant idea, good luck with that.

Ryftobuddy...you make me barf. Stop defending this shit bot. It was a good bot once and relatively "safe". It isn't anymore since May. Blizzard will continue to do banwaves like this every 6-7 months. Mark my words. So stop your endless arguing and defending.

Oh lets think. Battlechest ist about 5 Euro the next Corner mall here?. License of HB ist Lifetime (No Costs) anymore. Battlechest included one Month for free. Ohh to have some botting Fun on Wow it is cheaper than a Ticket for the Cinema or a Film on DVD, but provides much longer Fun with Blizzard an their Fans?. Yeah i choose Botting.

Ryfto defending HonorBuddy? your kidding right? I dont think he even comes close to defending HB. He is just poking holes in statements people here are making based on fiction.

Although I don't always agree with Navy, he's spot on when it comes to these matters. If you think I'm some white knight for HB, you really need to go back and read my posts a little closer.

Don't get me wrong, I love HB for what it offers, but if you think for one second that I believe that HB has ever kept mine or anyone else's accounts safe, you're sorely mistaken.

We will vouch that Ryftobuddy is frequently a thorn in our side.
"Ryftobuddy" and "fanboi" are not words that should be used together.
      :D

      cheers,

The only time I'm ever going to complain the mods is if you blatantly resort to name calling because you know you're wrong (name calling is against the forum rules). There's a reason why people that respond to me get temporarily muted and I continue on posting.

There's one thing you'll see that is a constant with my posts. If you're wrong, I will tell you why exactly you're wrong. A "troll" is someone that's just looking to get a reaction, and in almost all cases, is just saying things that to get said reaction. I don't do that. If anything, I hope you learn a little something from things I post. My posts come across crass sometimes, but most of the people on these forums need to be told the truth in a way other than their coddling teachers have been doing it for them their whole lives.

Go ahead and think that I'm trying to compensate for anything on these forums. I can assure you I have absolutely nothing to compensate for, nor am I lacking in any type of real world experience.

All I have read ryfto doing is pointing out that you don't actually know anything and basing your beliefs on assumptions born of ignorance is flawed and should be avoided.

What you need to know is that game devs attempt to ban people who use programs like this one. You will never know what they're doing exactly or when you're in danger. It's the risk we take. Absolutely anyone who says they know anything for a fact should be looked at with a degree of skepticism.

The only informative posts I've read on this subject are by the guy who brought up what Blizzard did in the past, how map hackers kept themselves safe, and how that might help us in the future. And all of that is based on outdated information, only providing a bit of a template for how we can hope to move forward.

My personal belief is that Blizzard is not always scanning or even often scanning. I think that in the future I'll stop using HB whenever bnet tries to update itself or WoW and/or an updated Blizzard programs asks permission for firewall access (when a program updates my firewall requires me to grant it permission again). I always see these things happen but I never know if it's a red flag or just business as usual.

Then again, if their work is primarily server side there is not much that can be done.
