Or if you were foolish enough to pay with PayPal, you have to dispute through them.

Otherwise, you 100% will win any disputed funds -- the customer is always right according to your bank/credit card company.

..and since these were VIRTUAL goods, Blizzard has no tracking number or much proof to fight the dispute legally.

Contract? Nope. Blizzard does not write the laws at all, you could have agreed to a TOS that said they were allowed to murder you -- does not make it legal.

Hope this helps anyone crying about bans.

You would have to call your bank or credit card company.

They all have different ways of dealing with disputes.

For some it literally is as simple as making the call and telling them the transaction date/amount.

For others, they make you enter a form - you really won't know until you call and ask.

But it works 100% of the time, even for prepaid companies.

To make things easy, you can just say you didn't authorize those transactions, or say you didn't receive the service to YOUR satisfaction. Make sure they know this is for a non tangible item in that case.

ah okay thanks friend. But how many times can this be done you think? If done once every month or even 2, they won't get suspicious you think?

They block your card if this is done multiple times.

Don't do this on account that you want achievements on in the future. They will make you pay everything disputed before getting to use or create a new account attached to that same email.

You should really stop and think about the ramifications of doing this multiple times. You do not want to get in bad with a credit card company by committing fraud multiple times. You may save $20 now, but you may also destroy your chances of getting a much needed loan in the future. Just consider the big picture before you fret over pennies is all I'm saying.

as stated you can't get refunds even through your bank for the historical transactions, since it was for a subscription not any goods you received. The only refund you can get is legion, which has already been offered from blizzard so no need to go through your bank/credit card company.

Yes you can you just state you talked to them over the phone and that you canceled your service multiple times but yet are still getting billed. Doesn't matter if they have history or not.

As a cop (not in the USA), this isn't fraud as you've been provided with a service that Blizzard has then retracted.
You're not going to get a poor credit rating as the onus is on Blizzard to prove they provided the service as promised.
I'd never be charging anyone with fraud for this as you simply can't prove the elements of the offence, namely, that you had the intention to permanently deprive Blizzard of their *cough* hard earned money.
Also having just bought my first house (or mortgage lol) I can attest to having an excellent credit card rating even though I've disputed numerous transactions over the many years of having a credit card

WRONG. Honestly dumbest post I ever read, you have no idea what your talking about at all.

Your bank and credit card company sides with you on any complaint, and also being a non tangible item you 100% win.

Not going to repeat myself, it works and will continue to work because that is how the customer satisfaction system works. Could not be more clearer.

Shit all over Blizzard for crying and banning you - big bad wolf (company) won't win disputes against angry customers.

Correct, you only want to do it once, but for all the transactions you have ever gotten within a certain period depending on the bank - 90-120 days is typical.

Plus you have huge arguments that Blizzard cannot take the time to even try and win against.

Or the short cut is simply say you did not authorize any such transactions -- lazy way of getting your money back.
