quick question, was everyone logged in and botting at the time of the ban? or was anyone banned who hasn't botted for a few days or even a few weeks? just wondering if they needed past info or identified there and then? )BTW, ive had 4 accounts banned, 1 x 6month and the rest 18 all logged in at the time of the ban lol) keep up the good work guys..
My new account which i was botting until the end of November like 18 19 was not banned but my old account that was part of the six months ban was banned...I think some thing happened after 18 of November.
I tried to get back to botting through the whole last month, but just didn't have time to really get started. I did bot though, a few hours each time, and I wasn't banned. This is weird if it indeed was a software detection causing the banwave.
2 new accs (1 week old) got caught while I was at work (farming Gundrak at the ban-time). My main got caught, never botted on it directly, but I had HB injected 1 month ago(?) in order to use developer tools. Oddly enough, one of my older bots wasn't hit (used for power-leveling the 2 new accs). I contacted Blizz support concerning my main, and apparently my IP has been flagged, as far as I could understand so to answer your question: a mixture of both
I was off line for a day when I got a 6 month Banned.. on an account since 2005. good bye to it.. from a Mistake? who is going to re pay my loss?
The fairy god mother. You botted and they always state it's never 100% safe. You did it now pay the price.
my biggest concern is this.... I do not plan on botting on my old bnet which i care about so when the ban is lifted i wont bot on it anymore. I have made a new bnet and bought some licenses on it and will bot on it but I don't want my house IP address to get flagged an all my bnets get banned the next time around..... BNET 1 no botting anymore BNET 2 new computer and botting computer... Best way to prevent my IP addy to flag me down? Install a proxxy software on computer #2?
I haven't had an issue with the IP address. Blizz has only banned my accounts that were actively botting. Two of my other accounts made it safe because they weren't botting in the last month but are tied to the same IP.
yeah im just getting a little paranoid now thats all i guess. I know HB is up and running right now but i suspect Blizz will run a patch tomorrow or something and HB will be down again but who knows.... if not.. ima sign onto my new licenses on my new bnet and start a freaking army of bots to get ish done and reclaim my losses and get my mula back
Blizzard does not ban based on IP address. They ban based on account keys. So, yes you can bot on the same Bnet and only have one account banned. The big redflag is botting on the same Bnet that has a banned account on it. As that BNet is obviously tagged for additional monitoring therein. As far as using a Proxy, there is truly no evidence to support a proxy does anything except draw attention to your account. But, IF I were to use a proxy, I would certainly only use one that is closely related to my geographical location and I would force-on that proxy anytime I logged into the account or the Bnet for that matter. I mean, having active connections to Blizzard servers with multiple bots can surely create some suspicion--In this case I would certainly use Vmware or other virtual-software. I have been a member of honorbuddy for many many years and I can say this with unequivocal fact, I've been suspended twice. With one ban overturn. And my methods are simple. Don't bot 24/7. Bot in low population, and monitor the bot consistently and constantly. Its really not hard to buy a second or third or fourth monitor and monitor your bots while you are busy doing something productive.
